Jan Ors

If a ship has Recon Specialist and Jan Ors can this combo give the same ship 2 evade tokens?

sadly no Jan Ors specifically mentions "Once per round" and you can only ever convert 1 focus into an evade per turn.

But if both crew are on the same ship, that ship can take an evade and focus because the ship is 'friendly' to itself.

Correct?

Yes.

the ship will receive 1 focus and 1 evade, but not 2 evades.

This

The timing works as: You declare a focus action; Recon Specialist gives you 2 instead of 1, Jan lets you (once per turn) change 1 to an evade.

Is there an official clarification of this? I´m very interested because I don´t own the C-3PO card but I like to play Han and want to still have a chance vs Han/C-3PO.

So, could I get 2 evades out of Han with PtL, Luke, Jan, MF, Eu? The idea would be to use EU and MF title to avoid too much damage early game and then turtle with Focus (turned into evade with Jan) and MF-evade if faced against another Falcon with C-3PO late game.

Looks legal to me. Jan just changes the token you get, so you can still combine it with the Evade action.

Yes, New FAQ entry, page 18:

Q: Is a ship considered to be at Range 1 of itself

A: Yes.

So as long as the card does not specify "another" friendly ship then it can apply to the ship it is on.

Thanks a lot. I´m going to see if I can work something out with Han/Jan.

The way I read this, Roark could *not* declare himself PS12 at the beginning of combat because his pilot ability specifies *another* friendly ship at R1-3.

Likewise, Unstressed Pilot Jan could *not* grant herself another attack die, again because the card specifies *another* ship.

Correct?

EDIT: for clarity

Correct. "Another" friendly ship excludes yourself.

Note: Roark can declare someone else PS12 who has swarm tactics. In which case Roark may end up with PS12 himself.
