Out of stock...everywhere

By Meynolt, in X-Wing

Ok, did not know where else to post this. I am trying to complete my collection before Wave 5 hits the store shelf. I am missing the X Wing Expansion Pack, B Wing, and the YT 1300. Everywhere I look they are either out of stock or have prices that would require financing. Any idea where I can find these three (at normal retail prices) ? They aren't out of production are they? God I hope not....

Have you tried Barnes and Noble stores in your area? They are usually my store of last resort if I can't find it through either the FLGS or online route.

They are being reprinted. You just need patience.

Yup ! Hit B&N today, lucked out ! There was one Firespray left on the shelf (which I needed).

Guess patience is what I need !

Look at the top of the page here.
Click "Upcoming"
Under "All Types", select "Miniatures"

Click "Apply"

Rough idea of where things are in the printing/reprinting process.

hows that q3 restock

Lousy.

I know some of the Barnes and Noble stores in my area still have the old ships. I've managed to run down everything, although I can now guarantee there are no more falcons or y-wings in the east valley of Phoenix. I do know where to find the ships you're looking for though.

Honestly, I wish you'd give it a rest Blail Blerg, I really do.

B-wings and X-Wings are in stock on Amazon (US) - Falcons too if you're willing to pay $75

You might want to look at European stores.
My store is only missing the regular tie fighter and has enough of everything else.

Everything is out of stock and FFG just keeps announcing new stuff, even though we still don't have the Decimator or the Outrunner and Rebel Aces took forever to get released.

Oh well, patience is needed I guess..

Can we dial down the whining?

What's your hurry?

$75 for a falcon is ridiculous

Yeah, it's only a $5 buy-in to get into a sabacc match. Then all you have to do is play some idiot who bets his ship.

I am not happy with Amazon here in the UK. Had Rebel Aces on preorder since September. Not heard a peep about when they expect it even after contacting them several times (I thought 8 weeks was a reasonable wait time being as other stores had it in stock and were selling).

Eventually, after much hassle, they recommend I cancel the order and then reorder, with them, again, for no known date of delivery of stock!!!

Told them where to put it, cancelled, ordered off another seller on Amazon, getting it in two days time.

Shesshh... you would have thought Amazon of all people would have ordered a couple and at least know where they are !!

I've watched Barnes and Noble stores pretty closely and I have a member discount there. They did indeed get at least 1 maybe 2 restocks and most likely the common stuff and the core sets ect. That was back in June- August. They have not gotten anything new in stock and I've heard rumblings that they are 'done' with Xwing....

Interesting you say this ...

Just to test the waters, I went to 3 different B&N's within a 30 mile radius of my home. Only one store had anything related to X-Wing in it, and it was a Rebel Transport. They had 3 of them. Neither of the other 2 stores had anything.

I spoke with all 3 managers of all 3 stores, and heard that all of them were considering/being directed that they would no longer carry the game. All 3 of them told me they had significant feedback from their customers that their prices were way too high.

I must admit that the only reason I went looking was because I wanted a second Falcon, and was ready to pay full price as the re-stock boats have apparently been hi-jacked :P I also have really only bought on-line, as I also have found the prices to be significantly better.

Now, to be clear, I am not whining, whinging, or complaining. :D I just find it interesting that everyone always says as a last resort, go to B&N because they always have everything (probably because no one wants to pay their prices). In this case, they basically had nothing.

ebay might be an option though you could take a gamble sometimes there.

If you'd of waited you'd have it today they shipped them out Saturday, it's not Amazon's fault it's the ffg supplier.

I lucked out a couple weeks ago finding a second falcon at B+N. I held off for a long time since I wanted to get it at one of my FLGS but heard they wouldn't be getting any stock for a long time.

Best advice is keep checking B+N, it hurts the soul a bit but stores like that get restock from central warehouses and more often then not have no say or foreknowledge on what that stock will be. So every week they get new stuff based on what they've been selling, and the product has been sitting in the warehouse for who knows how long, so there's always hope there.

Give a call to the stores around you, just make sure you're very specific about what you ask for. The first B+N that said they had the Falcon actually just had starters, but they were great about finding the product code and finding a nearby store that had it for me. Good Luck!

This seems like a regional/store by store thing. When the big summer red dot sale happened and some stores were selling off all their stock, a good deal of others said it's one of their best sellers for games and couldn't see not stocking it. I had an issue with the local Barnes and Noble to me, and when the store manager called me I asked her about it and she said she'd heard nothing from higher up about B&N stopping the sale of X-Wing items.
