Core Stat Improving Talents

By RebelDave, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Your Core Stats cannot exceed 6 at any point.

What happens if you have already taken a talent that increase your Stat to 6, and you come across a second one that is 'in your way' to something else.

Does it count as 'taken' like a Non Ranked Talent.

Or do you have to burn XP to 'take it' before moving on?

RD

Is this a hypothetical talent?

There are no such talents in core so no hard and fast rules for handling this. If someone's homebrewed one in, then that's a matter for them. They probably ought to rewrite their talent to clarify their decision.

If you're referring to Dedication, then you would just apply it to another Characteristic that isn't at 6. If for some odd reason you're playing a game that's still going after you've got all your characteristics to 6 before cybernetics then.... Uh.... I guess you could just skip over it. But I mean, to reach this scenario, you're probably at like 3,000 experience or are fully stocked in homebrewed cybernetics, so what's 25 experience points?

Duh.... yeah of course.

I keep thinking WFRP, that the Talents in question are for a specific Stat, when they arn't.

Cheers!
