BTL-A4 thoughts/ jan ors pilot question

By nikk whyte, in X-Wing

ok, it looks like the y-wing is gonna become a bit like a slow e-wing in the next few months, so i have some observations for making the most of my two attacks each turn.

first, the r4 agromech.

after spending a focus token, you get a free target lock on the defender. this is huge for modifying that second attack. its why corran nearly always gets FCS. and since theres no drawback to taking that second shot, you can save the target lock for a target lock/focus torpedo attack the next turn. the y-wing is about to become as powerful as the b-wing.

now, to get the absolute most out of these attacks, you'd pair the y-wing with the hwk and jan ors (i'm aware you lose the r4, i'm working on both factions)

does jan's offensive boost last for both attacks? or is it just the first? i'm liking the hwk a lot lately, and i'd like to keep that train rolling.

The Agromech is a Salvaged Astromech upgrade: only the Scum get it. Jan Ors's HWK is Rebel.

also, did anyone notice the rebel y-wings CANT use the btl-a4? wow, thats a bummer

i literally said this in the first post.

Wait why can't they use A4? It says Y wing only.

Yeah I think btl-a4 is a y-wing title, if I remember correctly. That means it can be used on all Rebel, Scum, and Imperial ( :P ) y-wings.

Jan Ors, much like Opportunist, only applies to one attack.

Marksmanship, Predator, Outmaneuver, E'tahn's ability, and Horton's ability are the only ones I think could affect both attacks from a y-wing.

My bad, I was mislead by voidstates squad builder. He has it available for scum but not rebels.
