I would like to promote online play, so I was wondering if people would be willing to play online if the prize support included a tournament kit?
I was looking at potential $5 buy in, $6 for international players. The format could be discussed, but would include a number of rounds, possibly 4-6 depending on number of players, with a week to play each round and report scores. At the end of the tournament, prize support would be mailed to players.
As soon as I get a total of 6 people willing to play, I will make arrangements for prize support, format registration info and timelines, and we will go to the races.
FWIW, I have organized such tournaments in the past with Decipher's SWCCG with great success. People who have played that game, feel free to vouch for me. I turn all money into prizes (or donations for the people that make online play possible).
In the end, I am honestly looking for a consistent way to play online. My next year will not provide opportunity to IRL, so getting something like this moving for me is important enough to organize.
I hope there is some interest, and May the Force be with You!
