I made Tiree and Kavish pilot cards for fun

If you're like me, you think Tiree and Davish not being playable Y-Wing pilots is a crime. It also stinks that Dutch doesn't have an EPT, but let's stay on track here. As I'm sure many people have done, I wanted to try my hand at creating some new pilots. Here they are!

Tiree is the heavy weapons guy of the bunch. Nobody seems to use both Torpedo slots on a Y-Wing (or Bomber), so his power basically gives you a 4 point discount when equipping two Torpedoes. His mid-range pilot skill should mean he gets off at least one Torpedo before being counter attacked or swarmed.

Davish helps out his fellow Y-Wing brothers by having them use secondary weapons free of charge. While not useful on Ion Cannons, Blaster Turrets and Torpedoes become extremely deadly with the addition of Target Locks or Focus to improve die rolls. He does have to stay close to his teammates to use his ability and has a low pilot skill. In addition, his ability is useless unless you build around it.
After creating the cards, I think some tweaking would be in order. Probably swap their PS and bump Kavish up a point or two in cost.
So what do you think? Too powerful? Too weak? Game breaking?

Davish just needs better rules templating.

It should say. A allied ship that uses an attack that spends a target lock or focus may choose to keep that target lock or focus instead.

Davish should be, gets attacked outside his firing arc he dies instantly :P

No I said Red 2 from Episode 6, not 4. Red 2 is Wedge in 4, Red 2 is an unnamed Y-wing pilot who blows up a bunch of ships in Episode 6. I'd rather have him then all the named guys that get 5 seconds of screen time blowing up.

No because he was the last to get hit. Dutch got hit first. For Davish AKA "Pops" I would say when defending if attacker is outside of arc gain 1 agility. Also one more thing, where is his EPT slot and why only Pilot Skill 4? It should be around 7, I think he was a better skilled pilot than "Dutch" just like Wedge is more skilled at piloting than Luke.

For Tiree I can see the whole concept by making torpedoes cost less, especially because torpedoes are so under powered right now. But well I think it is a little too much complexity in squadron composition. If that is the case then you should make his pilot skill low like 4 or 3 so there is a risk of Tiree getting focused down before he launches the tropedoes to counterbalance the point discount.

Besides right now with wave 6 it looks like Y-wings are getting a ton of love. So while we all love the good guys the Imperials need some love more. Can anyone make more bomber pilots?

I'd have no problem with Tiree having a lower PS, especially given his ability making him basically a mobile torpedo platform. 3 would probably be fine in that case.

Davish doesn't get an EPT slot because no other Y-Wing pilot does. It seems odd for a lower PS pilot to get one if the higher PS guys do. It probably has happened with other pilots, but I just didn't include it with him. I think that some Y-Wing pilot should have one though.

Maybe I'll whip up some more pilots for the Empire bombers. No idea about names, so maybe I'll just come up with fun nicknames instead.

Oh I forgot to mention that Davish should have a higher pilot skill. IMHO I think Davish was a better pilot than Dutch even if Dutch was the leader. Dutch panicked in the movie while Davish keept cool. I think Davish should be PS 7 and have an EPT with "When defending if attacker is outside of firing arc get +1 agility (or just roll 1 more defense dice.)" That way you can EPT "Stay on Target" and he still gets his famous line "They Came From Behin~...".
