So first of all, thanks to FFG for replacing a lost shuttle move dial and two small ship bases. I REALLY wasn't expecting them to approve my request.

Second, I am wondering - if they are willing to give this away for free, why not just sell it for a few bob?

I'd have happily paid for replacements, it's not like it's FFG's fault I lost them, but I was loathe to have to spend £25 to get a tournament legal dial...

Would FFG consider selling replacements, or do you think there is a valid reason they are choosing not to?

Are they worried people would just buy the dials and use cheaper non-FFG models?

I am in the camp that FFG should sell a bag of replacement pegs, $5 for 20 of them or something close to that!

I think bases, dials, cards, that is a bit different and that they would not sell those individually, however 'universal' things like bases, small and large, and pegs should be a stock items.

Please, please, please let this happen!

I didn't want to have to buy a second HWK as it was hard enough to want to buy it in the first place! I might want to run it at a tournament and wasn't sure what to do. They sent me some spares!

Now....have misplaced one of the bases for my Tantive IV. I played a big epic game and used all my pieces. It was chaotic to put it all away. I might have lost it then, or when I took out all my bases to glue on metal washers. I have to dig through my hobby room. I will feel like a total #@%$ if I have to email them again. I would be happy to give them money for one, though.

Honestly Chad, if I had just lost the bases I would have probably just bought replacements from Mel's Miniatures, but the dial was a real kick in the crotch. The fact that all of these pieces have to be "official" for tournament play is kind of frustrating.

Have a look and see what Mel has in the way of a large base replacement.

Yeah I wish they'd sell base and peg packs. I lost 2 bases and FFG was super in replacing them. But I would of been happy to pay for them, I lost them it's not like they were missing from the package or something.

So a $10 pack of say 5 small bases and 10 pegs I'd buy in a moment if I was missing something.

I reached out to him via A Few Manuevers PM (as I don't have a Shapeways account and don't know of another way to reach him). I can't tell if any of his bases would fit with the spike bit for the CR90.

I actually emailed them inquiring about purchasing the stands for the huge ships, I want to fly all my shuttles on them so they can be high and wings down without issues.. or firesprays and even falcons.. the decimator would look cool up there too... I still need to magnetize those turrets though.. lol..

But I digress.. lol.

They said they wouldn't sell them too me (though they would replace broken parts of course) .. so lets keep the requests coming in and maybe they will start selling these parts..

I'm too honest to make requests for parts I haven't lost or broken.. so... I guess I have to buy another transport .. lol

I wonder if they worry that by selling the bases they'll somehow make it easier to play the game without the core set/expansions.

I can't see that, seems a bit like the old excuses for how a PDF version of the rules made it easy for pirate copies.

Anything is possible, but I just want to fly a few ships differently than originally concieved. I think someone here had mentioned using the huge ship supports for the large ships.. I took mine out and thought they looked awesome on the higher perch... I may never need more than 2 though, so I can live with it for now...

But if anyone has spare large ships supports they dont need.. PM me.. lol ill make it worth yor while..
