GM looking for players - Elizabethtown PA

By Milkmonster06, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Hello all (I realize this is a long shot), I'm starting an edge of the empire group (we will start with the beginners box). I will GM, and I have two players already. I have a decent amount of material that should this group stick, we would be set. Don't worry about buying materials or any rulebooks (unless you want to), I have the core rulebooks among other things. Also don't worry about being familiar with the game, the beginners box does a great job of teaching the basics.

The first game day that I'm shooting for is the 16th of November. If this date has come and gone and you are just now seeing this, please contact me you most likely can still join in. Please be 21 or older (I'm 27), mature, and just looking to relax and have a good time.

This all being said, should anyone want to play, I'd like to arrange a meetup in person just to get to know you. I plan on having my game days on Sunday's most likely every other week.

For those not in the area, would you happen to have any tips on how to start a group?

Thanks in advance!

On how to start a group, I'd hang around a bit at your FLGS, ask the employees or try and chat with other people you see checking out the Star Wars stuff.

Good idea, I'll give this a shot.

There are a ton of threads in the GM section of the forum that have great advice for new GMs. Use the search function for any particular questions you might have. I'd especially recommend those topics which mention what to do in your first session (aka session zero), to get the group on the same page and do character creation together, before you start playing. The more you can work out what people expect and where they want the game to go before you put pen to paper and dice start rolling, the better your campaign will be, generally speaking.

Did I miss 60B?

Hiya Milkmonster! I used to live in Elizabethtown! If it's still open there is a FFLGS called the Adventurer's Guild that should have plenty of people that would want to play! The owner there (Rich) and a lot of the old regulars are great peeps!

I'm not quite sure I follow...

Good luck! I'd volunteer (it's been awhile since I've PC'd instead of GM'd), but I'm about 2 hours north in Scranton.
