Predictions for the June STOG

I can understand this, but put the shoe on the other foot. The reason we started this discussion is becuase it is my opinion that you aren't providing a GOOD argument for why it is okay to flat out deny Destiny of it's place as a good card, and in more than one respect. What follows is a lot of BAD arguments from you, constantly referring back to power symbols and results that you yourself call 'skewed', and mis-characterizing the Chaos symbol

And to this extent.... What is a GOOD argument for you? Do you even know what you are looking for? Should we expect the same from you? Or is a good argument one that ends in people telling you that you are allowed your own opinion, B-rad and the obvious here, nice to have a voice of reason though ^^

Perhaps the only thing that bugs me about you are your short posts. Your short, static, comments that are either painful to read becuase they are dripping wtih sarcasm/malicious intent OR are just attempts to cause retaliation and the argument itself, in doing so you are finding what you love (arguments) but you are cheapening them becuase they are simply manufactured by your own deliberate ignorance.

There is a reason people don't read a lot of what you have to say, or do not listen to what you say, it has a great deal to do with the way you present yourself, and not actually the contents of your posts. That is my opinion.

A - I've already listed why I think Destiny is a crap card. It has no block. It has crappy symbols, and I know they're crappy symbols, because they do not top 8 as frequently as other symbols, AND they have a crappy roster of characters. Against an opponent who does not hack, which as I said, is about 10 of the 12 symbols, THE. CARD. DOES. NOTHING! I don't understand how much more clearer I can make myself.

B - What is a good argument? Hmm...Vikramas, really. I have my opinions, and I'm willing to defend them. Often I find myself saying, "Well I understand your point, but...", yet miraculously, I never get the same in return. To me, that's like saying, "Sorry Shinji, but reading your points is not worth my time". If my arguments aren't worth your time...why are you arguing with me?

C - My posts are one of two things: gigantic soliloquies of information, research, opinion, etc etc, or curt, pithy, facetious jokes meant to oversimplify something to jab at the oversimplifying commentators that post prior. I'm trying to be funny, not insulting. I was doing faux-arrogance before Steven Colbert mattered.

D - Your opinion is correct, sir. Most of the time people would rather comment on my attitude, and less on my content, at which point I say, "You, sir, can eat a D." Who cares how I say what I say? Whenever I Al Gore myself and give forth presentations of nothing but sheer research, logic, and opinion, you guys just defecate all over them, so sometimes I decide, "You know what would be funny? Acting like a giant infant, just like my opposition is doing to me." You read a post for its content. Period. If you're reading it so that you can judge somebody

Shinji post.

You know what you need?

To listen to Damm D, specifically, "She Just Love Me". That's what I'm thinkin 8)

Death is crappy? News to me. Underplayed is what I think it is. Good and Chaos are viable, but not top tier, but that makes the symbols, not the card bad.

But seriously? Destiny do nothing? Who doesn't play 6 checks? This answer is no one, cause everyone plays Olcadan's. Who doesn't play more than 4 6 checks? Well seeing as there are a ton of great 6 check cards.... Destiny also has decent stats minus the block. And on Chaos, helps the case in potential hacking.

nah. i don't think so. powerfull cards apart, during the time people where all playing ibuki, there was a vloldo deck; ****** people.

Shame on you Voldo. Keep it in your pan...buckle...leatard?

You can't say people haven't experimented with Chaos/Death/Good, because obviously that'd be wrong. People have, and anybody who has will tell you, "Yeah, sure, my deck's pretty cool, and is plenty capable of winning, but it's not nearly as efficient as insert X character".

See, efficiency is a major part of selecting your character. If almost every single Zi Mei that tops is off Evil, there's probably a reason for that, and it ain't becuase Zi Mei players never thought of Death Zi Mei, it's simply that Evil Zi Mei is better.

This is my point. Metagame-conscious UFS players, for the most part, aren't stupid. They realize the fact that Death's foundation line-up is hoss, and that Chaos has a ton of versatility and is an amazing splash symbol, and Good is rising in fame when it comes to its idiotic wall of Red Lotus and Torn Hero, especially in conjunction with the ever-winning Feline Spike.

However, the only Good decks I can think of that have topped are two Talbains, and the ever-so-unorthodox Kyo Mill, which obviously shouldn't be used as a basis for comparison.

Any symbol not named Life has a chance AT winning. Doesn't mean they will, and for the exact reasons I spew.

My prediction for the June SOTG is that it will contain letters. These letters might incidentally be joined together to form words.

Might be some punctuation too.

Dude, I hope not.

I was really, really hoping for a giant run-on sentence. Grammar is for nerds.

there was no punctuation until the 1500s, must have been fun times =P

Ohh and by the way I don't really want to interrupt your argument or anything but may I point out that my Nagase deck was a pretty much half and half Order-Chaos split and it did fine at tournaments.I know its irrelavent to you as I'm not a major player, but she was won a fair amount (like most of my local tournies), and I beleive I beat JJ with her a couple of times that I played him when I last saw him. Haha JJ is such a bad player though its not like you can even use him as a reference for deck comparison.

Honestly, it's more about comfort than anything else; People KNOW the evil decks work; they've experimented with things, but in the end, it comes back down to what people see do well and comfortability. Most of us believe that almost any symbol right now CAN win, but we go to major tournaments and we see the majority of the decks there evil, or order, or air, etc. yet, we normally see other symbols toping. Sure, we see more evil than, say, good, but perhaps that's just because...that's what the odds are, with more evil than good decks.

I did hear tell of a certian James Hata runnign a death Deck at POTM with his character card and beating face. Unfortunatley he wasent able to play in the event because of obvious reasons.

He was using unreleased cards.

His status of employee of FFG and Developer of the game? IRRELEVANT I SAY.

Well... being a game dev only means he has a very intimate understanding of the way the game works. Anyone else can develop the same if they play a lot and try to learn as much as they can. Playing with unreleased stuff, tho, that's a definite mark against him :P

The only technically unreleased card in his deck at the time was cursed blood, but he still asked if it was alright if he used it.

For real, a giant run-on sentence would be amusing, if a bit difficult to read

Well, we only have to wait 10+ hours or so then we will know.

It's FFG; expect a week's delay. Minimum.

Lol, I hope for the best, expect the worst.
