He was announced in the original Scum article back in August.
Well, probably not the ONLY one.
And, yes, you want to shoot Greedo first.
What might he be useful for? A ship like the firespray that can take a lot of hits or a star viper that's basically raising the stakes on its ability to arc-dodge? Might he work for both? At first glance it seems pretty risky, but it also seems like it could have some sweet combos.

You want to damage Greedo first. If Greedo hits shields or you dodge then no effect. If you damage Greedo then he gets crit.
Okay anyone want to crunch numbers on different effects of the damage cards on the different ships?

Well, first of all, he's cheap. That's a plus, considering he is competing for a crew seat, which is a quite a premium and competitive upgrade slot. I like the idea of combining him with an Ion Cannon. Makes it so you can crit with your ion weapons, Rexler Brath style.
Well he can't go on a StarViper, so that only leaves the Firespray or HWK. I think he's more of a liability than a help. Seems like he'll create the Scum equivalent of the Doom Shuttle. If you can get his ship into a position where it can attack, and not be attacked, he could be golden.
I don't think arc dodgers are gonna be great, since they are squishy, and probably can't handle the backlash. I feel like he is a solid fit on Boba, as a reroll or two on defence should make it take a lot longer for him to kick in, especially if you take PTL so you have an evade token as well.
It is a true shame that Greedo cant jump in the back of a phantom, because you can guarantee that Whisper with Greedo in the back seat would love to dish out the crits all day long.
He may be a liability but he's very in keeping with s&v which makes him cool with me.
He seems like he'll be best in a Firespray. A PS5 generic with an HLC would get a lot of use if you have higher PS teammates who can strip the shields for you.
Play Chewie Falcon and he is useless. If I'm reading it right.
Until we know more details it's hard to think of where I would want him. Though, a cheap HWK with any turret seems tempting...
At first you'l be like

but then you'll be like

Poor Greedo, I tried him on a Scum proxie list as crew on Boba's ship. Hurt me more in the end, but great fun.
Greedo+HWK-290+Autoblaster turret...LOL.
Not great but it makes me giggle. Seems like an initial counter to Empire squads. Other than this pairing I will need to see what the new form of Kath and Krassis are and who will be on the HWK's in question.
Greedo + HLC + Determination will be fun.
Oh, I have an idea! Put Greedo onto a ship that you think is high risk, alongside with running said ship with Deadman's Switch! If you're hit by the dreaded Critical Hit card that turns you to space dust, you can at least take something down with it in the ensuing explosion! What do y'all think?
"Greedo's like any other crew card. He's either a benefit, or a hazard. If he's a benefit, it's not my problem."

Seriously, though, he looks like a lot of fun and I can't wait to play around with him.
Greedo is best when put on a high PS ship...
Low PS would be better, so you can clear shields before he activates.
You still take the crit when you defend, even if you have attacked and dealt a crit already, because it says AND, not OR.

But if you are low PS Greedo doesn't shoot first...

That's what counts.

As it should be.

Yeah, that's how I read it. You have the chance to dish out a crit or take a crit every round.
Now what I want to know is, what happens when you roll a natural crit? Does Greedo have any effect? Say you roll hit/crit. That would be 2 crits right?
