What would your Pilot Skill be?

By Third Sphere, in X-Wing

I've noticed a lot of threads about inventing cards etc. so in that spirit...
(sorry if this has been posted already - didn't see it)

If you had to make a pilot card for yourself:

1) Which Faction would you be?

2) What ship would you fly?

3) What would you pilot skill be?

4) What would your special ability be?

5) *Optional, What would you Star Wars name be?

1) rebels, maybe scum

2) Z95. or X wing

3) I would be the first negative number pilot skill. -2, -3

4)"****** defeat from the jaws of victory" for every point of damage I do to my target, I do two to myself

1: Scum or Rebel, but very likely scum with heavy rebel sympathies, but with an appreciation for The Empire's efficiency.
2: HWK-290, Y-Wing, Z-95. But if I could, I would absolutely be happy to fly a YT-2000.

3: There are people who fly better than me. A considerable amount I'm sure. Thing is, I haven't run into many of them. Outgun me, sure. Outfly me though... So I'm comfortable at 7
4: I've never run into anyone who can keep up with me in terms of how close I can fly to obstacles. Anyone. "When an enemy is at Range 1, ignore obstacles.

5: Jayamis Jaxun, I suppose. Mix of two classic names I've used in SW stuff.

Hope that didn't sound too ego. I'm just confident in my flight abilities.

EDIT: If I could get a title card for the HWK, it'd be this.

"The Vornskr"
Apply either a Missile or Cannon slot to your upgrade bar. 4 points. Cannon does not fire 360.

In addition to an EPT and Crew slot. Not totally sure if the cannon and missile should overwrite the turret.

My mates and I play regularly, using the same ship types as well. So we used StrangeEons to make cards in our favorite ships. Likewise, we made the abilities reflective of our play styles. We made our pilot skills 7 because we wanted them to be viable

but not Wedge/Fel-status.

PS7 TIE/Int

This guy always seems to make the unlikely shot. So his ability is "When attacking with your primary weapon from range 3 the defender does not receive an extra defense die."

PS7 X-wing

This guys has a condition where he only sees properly out of one eye. Obviously he neededa skill that involved the focus eyeball symbol. "After performing a 1 or 2 speed maneuver, receive a free focus token."

PS7 A-wing

I love A-wings. But the lack of barrel roll kills me. So mine is "Your action bar gains the barrel roll icon. You must use the 1 soft turn when barrel rolling."

If my awesome skills on racing and flight sims is true to life then a solid 7.

Got to be an X-wing pilot.

My ability would have to be reroll defence dice as I have great luck ( skill ;) ) when It comes to close situations.

1. Imperial

2. Interceptor (awing if we can cross faction, Fanblade fighter if we're really inventive)

3. 6

4. "When you take a boost or BR action you may instead place the manuever template touching an asteroid within range 1. Move that asteroid instead. If the asteroid overlaps another ship, treat that ship as having flown through an asteroid." (needs some work sure, but ya).

5. Rakky Wistol is my Star Wars Name.

I have been known to fly my Firespray like an interceptor, arc dodging while firing from my rear arc. So my pilot card would probably be something like this:

Warlock (Firespray, PS7, SCUM or Imperial)

Ability: after executing a boost or barrel roll, gain an additional attack dice while firing from your auxiliary arc.

(I know the ability would not work without upgrades and is not balanced, but this is just "how I play" so often that I would probably end up as something like that.)

Rebel. I play either and I like empire but well. lotsa space sim history.

Y-wing. This became my ship of choice in Galaxies, but I also enjoyed it in the X-wing games and RS

7. Lots of all the x-wing and RS games, and of course galaxies. Had most feared ship on the Intrepid server with the Shadowblade.

I'd have an EPT.

The special would be free rerolls against any ship i shoot at in my rear arc .My gunner in SWG was amazing.

I'd also have the title card "shadowblade" Which allows cannons to be put on the turret slot, and be treated as turrets a'la the Outrider. This was a heavily customized Y-wing, painted black and red, it was a two seater and it was designed to joust in and boost out with the rear gunner picking off targets - the rear gun was always the better gun of the two.

(Rebel)Shadow Squadron pilots would be Y-wing pilots with PS6+EPTs. in my galaxies days I put together a good hard rebel unit and trained them well. The presence of any member of Shadow guaranteed success in an NPC mission, and we usually conquered deep space pretty effectively. 3 of us once exterminated 12 imp players...

B-Wing or Y-wing

PS7 with EPT

Ability: After performing an action, you may perform a free Barrel Roll if the final position puts you within the required range to attack an enemy with a secondary weapon.

1. Imperial or Scum

2. Firespray-31

3. 6 maybe 7 with an ept.

4. When you have no shields and a damage assigned you may perform a free evade action.

5. ZD-109 (My current character [Assassin Droid] in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire)

1) I'd like to say Rebel, but realistically probably Scum.

2) Firespray (or a YT-1300, I like a ship you can live in).

3) PS 6 (I'm usually above average at most things I do, but I'm no expert).

4) During the Activation and Combat phases, increase your pilot skill by 1 (I'm late for things and procrastinate).

5) Koa Bousk (my favorite name from an rpg character I had)

1. Rebels

2. A-wing

3. PS 2

4. Whenever you roll attack dice, cancel all results. ( :P )

5. Gniar Itnob

Well, I see good and bad in both the Empire and the Rebels. Both have done good and bad. That being said, I would probably be considered Scum by X-Wing standards.

Never having piloted anything myself, but being handy with computers, I would rely on an adaptive piloting AI. Lets say that puts me at PS5.

Ship of choice? The Star Viper.

I consider myself to have a pretty tactical mindset, and unlike the majority of Star Wars pilots and Khan, I think in three dimensions. So represent this, my special ability would allow me to attack ships that I fly through.

imperial (my main faction)

Tie Defender (my most flown ship since its release)

PS: 5 (i always like to think i'm in the middle of the pack but have potential to be really good or really bad as i like to take risks a lot)

ability: after firing a secondary weapon that is a missile upgrade if you discarded a card to do so perform the same attack again.

i have the reputation of always bringing missiles on everything that can. the wording is weird so that it would not be abused by munition fail-safe

1) Imperial

2)Tie defender

3) 7ish i think

4) after performing a K turn gain a target lock on and enemy within range 2

1. Rebels, then Scum (Black Sun)

2. Z-95, Y-Wing, x-Wing, V-Wing or StarViper. I'm flexible~ :3

3. I'd put myself at about pilot skill 6 or 7. I've played a -lot- of Rogue Squadron, and know how to really handle craft, but I can be outflown by people.

4. If you are in the firing arc of a craft who you have a Target Lock on in the End Phase you may regenerate 1 shield token.

Due to the real job.

Imperial, Delta class Troop transport, PS 7, an ept and special, skill being formation leader, when a friendly ship is within R1 it receives a free focus.

I want the Delta class in the game nearly as much as the Assault Gunboat.

Jesus Christ some of us think we'd have some really crazy pilot skills.

Noticing a lot of Y-Wings and Firesprays.

My gunner and I were a **** good team. I had to keep the crate straight enough for him to be accurate and jinking enough to dodge enemy fire. Additionally sheer experience and flight hours in XvTBOP(let alone the other games) gotta count for something. Yeah, there is ego there - all the best pilots i've flown with have it in spades.

I'll give you your regards, your story has merit. :P

PS4.

As a gunner crew card I think I would actually drop the combat phase ps.(idea there FFG)

I completely failed as a gunner back in the X-Wing: Alliance days.

HWK PS1 Rebel

If this ship is destroyed by the enemy you win the game.

Mine was more of a "where would this ability fit" skill than how good a pilot I am. It's be nice for doing potential damage to lower PS and be a real pain for ace pilots (who need someone to take a bite out of them).
