My friend Sam did my little pony dark eldar riders after that I can't be hurt anymore the emotional scars are too thick.

I keep myself happy with lots of pre 1990 models painted to modern standards and deliberately quite 'retro' scenery. Again check the blog if you're interested in oldschool 40k

I remember retro scenery, cardboard buildings held together with prittstick and hope, you used to get them from white dwarf before it became an advertisement you had to pay for.

I'll show you my 'agri world' scenery. deliberately made from yoghurt pots and stuff like in the original rulebook

The problem is storing it.

At the back of the production studio (there were three studios UK, Group and Production) there was a photogrpahy room with shelves and shelves of scenery... it takes up a lot of space.

For a while we managed to get the warhammer world scenery to a really good standard to be used as background shots but a lot of that was binned when the decree came along that all the WW boards had to be the commercially available boards rather than all the unique ones we'd built over the years (that order was after my time, i'd have had a right mare)

Under my bed btw is the 'cities of death' cityfight boards from the codex... it was being scrapped so i had it...

Sheesh talk about order 66! Didn't anybody try to take some stuff home with them?

Also when i look at the mini's in those old issues of white dwarf i wondered what happened to some of them, wether they still exists in some guys cabinet, or in a shoebox in the attic or made it to GW's display room, or got sold/ thrown in the bin...

I personally removed all the marines from the 'siege of the emperors palace' games day mega dispplay and rebased them to make event armies... i took the horus/eagle top piece home too, it was on top of my work crt monitor for ages at workship then came home with me.

I sold it years ago when i lost all interest in GW before i got back into oldhammer, sort of regret it now.

I had a bren gun GW were throwing away once too... a bloody wwii bren gun tha was just going to be skipped...

Most minis pre 93 ish belong to Bryan Ansell in his personal collection, he now runs foundry miniatures. i think part of his leaving deal was he got all the old realm of chaos and rogue trader figures.

I had a few rare pieces when i left.

I used to have the 'orgus flyer' from rogue trader (but sold it), ditto all the mock ups for playtesting dark eldar.

I also used to have two lifesize space marine helmets, they were *huge*

Scotts arm 'tattoo' was done by Dave Andrews with a marker pen.

Rick Priestly has been over at Warlord Games for a while now. He is soon putting out another scifi game called Beyond the Gates if Antares. I'm curious if it will be Rogue Trader reborn.
