Wave 2 speculation

By dpb1298, in Star Wars: Armada

Wave 2:

MC 80 a or b (whichever one is home one)

Imperial sd

Imperial raider.

Now each faction has similar number of ship categories.

Wave 3

New fighters (E.g falcon)

One small an one medium for each side, although that is a big wave.

Some possible issues I see with your list

1 While FFG is the first tabletop/RPG company to give stats for a stock Neutron Star Bulk Cruiser they have yet to use the older Neutron Star carrier conversion anywhere that I know of so it would be much more likely right now for a Qaser Fire carrier over a Neutron Star.

2:: The Marauder is only shown as a Missile Corvette in one source. In most sources the class doesn't have any Missile Launchers.

3: The Broadsword is a Gladiator variant designed to focus more on missile combat. I really hope FFG isn't expecting us to buy a new Gladiator expansion just to get the Broadsword card

2: True, but it is the same Source that gave us the Mk 2 Assault Frigate

3: I'm sure they could release it with the altered model design. Whether the fans want that is a different matter....

One interesting thing about the broadside/marauder being a long range missile ship thats relatively weak at close range is that missiles thus far in the game are represented by the close range black dice. I would like to see what ffg does with the 2 ships as it seems likely they will show up at some point

I would like to see an ton-falk escort carrier for imps, and a quasar fire for rebels that focus on starfighter squadrons,

a second wave of fighters with the z-95 (possibly with swarm) the YT1300 and maybe the e-wing for rebels, and then the defender, xg-1 star wing, and phantom for imps

Then also a dreadnaught class cruiser for empire that had no squadron but had a tons of guns, and then an assault frigate mk 1 to mirror it

Oviously like everyone i cant wait for the ISD and Mon Cal (MC80 i assume) and i am sure they are probably already in the works

One thing I do hope for however is that they only do maybe 1 release per faction instead of 2 like they did with xwing for the first 4 waves, I think 1 ship per faction would be plenty to keep us greedy gamers addicted and increase the longevity of the games releases before they get to the more obscure content.
