Returning from Lost in Time and Space and other questions

By TheBossInTheWall, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Can you choose to return to a location with a gate when returning from lost in space? If so are you considered delayed during the movement phase?

If a card directs you to take the first weapon/tome/etc. from a deck and its not the first one do you shuffle the deck afterwards or place the drawn cards on the bottom?

If a card says "he" in refrence to an investigator does it refer to the women too? ;)

Yes. No.

I almost always shuffle. This one seems to be a matter of preference.

Of course!

You return from LiTaS during Upkeep. By then you should no longer be delayed. So you may start anywhere you wish, and then move normally during the movement phase. If you start on a location that has a gate, you will have to deal with any monsters there during the movement phase. Then if you have not left the gate's space, you will have to enter the gate during the Arkham Encounters phase.

When a deck tells me to take the "first X type card" then I just draw until I find it, placing all the drawn cards underneath the deck in the order they were drawn (no bother to reshuffle, because I don't know what's next on top of the deck). If I'm told to locate a specific card, or am allowed to take a card of my choice, then I shuffle afterwards.

Well, there's a "he" in "she" and a "men" in "women," so I guess so. The opposite, by that logic, would not necessarily be true.

LOL. 3am logic.

Tibs is right, when you come back to Arkham you are no longer delayed. I'm not sure why you would want to come back to a location with a gate though. It seems like that when you're lost in time and space you have had some problems, and might want to regroup a bit before heading through another gate.

I always reshuffle, but I think this is just a matter of personal preference.

Note that you don't receive an explored marker if you move to a gate location from LiTaS.

Uhm ... wouldn't that be a 'no', since 'he' does not include 'she'? Of course I don't understand 3am logic, currently it's 4:43am ^^
