A-36 Pathfinder Design Pics

By OriginalDomingo, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Our group has a new ship, so I just had to take a shot at converting the A-24 Sleuth to the A-36 Pathfinder. Since there aren't really any pics of the A-36, I did my best. This ship is set up for our use in particular, and one of our upgrades is 25 encumbrance of smuggling compartments. There are two 5 encumbrance compartments behind the folding bunks to hold weapons. Another 15 encumbrance is hidden underneath the makeshift medical bay in the cargo hold.

The Wookieepedia entry does have a picture of it, but it's a line drawing. It's actually quite a bit longer than the A-24 (36m vs 20m) and narrower.

When I needed a picture of it for my chargen, I started with the line drawing and came up with this:

Of course, I'm assuming this is, in fact, the A-36 and not another ship :) The EU being what it is, it can be confusing sometimes.

Really nice bit of work

Its a nice piece of work, too, but the A-36 on wookieepedia is an A-36 Vangaard from Vangaard industries, not the Incom A-36 Pathfinder. Dang EU confusion!

Also a lot of craft in Star Wars have length/scale issues. Several are listed in meters when the numbers and scaling are in actually in feet. Others are pulled completely out of thin air (the AT-TE for example has h/w/l listings that are 100% incompatible with each other).

Bottom line: Pick the size that works for you and go with it.

Nice work. Did you use Illustrator for those images?

Ha! I am using keynote (the mac equivalent of powerpoint) with shape files and transparent gifs downloaded from RPGshare for detail items. I am first class powerpoint ranger.

I think the whole crew agrees but that fresher needs to move closer to the back of the ship. I mean... WHEW! No body wants to go near that thing after the Wookie! And if you complain about it... he rips your arm out. Just ask Bandit over there.

If you think that's bad, check out these facilities:

The Wookiee is offended by this comment and rips your arms off.
