One of the pricier 'mechs, and an ability that I have no idea if I'm going to like, BUT

IT'S A FREAKING CREEPY PSYCHOTIC CYCLOPIAN CLOWN DROID WITH BLASTERS FOR ARMS! How can you not like that?! LOL

Doesn't that have to fit inside the astromech/salvaged astromech slot on the Y-Wing?

If my old Action Fleet Y-Wing is anything to go by, the Astro sticks out of the back quite a bit.
I'm lovin it.

He does kinda look like a demented Ronald McDonald...
I thought the same thing. At first I didn't notice the guns...but then I did.
The guns and shark mouth seem an odd artistic choice, given the wikipedia entry. I might be suspicious of such a droid, myself.
Rerolling dice would go after the defender modified the dice, right ?

If I had a droid I would paint all kinds of goofy stuff on it. And I would change my paintings regularly.
Sounds like a Unique version of R7 for S&V. Where with the rebels you could have 2 or more R7 astromechs (although finding use for 2 of them would be tricky) you can only have 1 R4-B11

No, it's the reverse of R7. With R7, if YOU are being attacked and have a TL on the attacker, you can force the ATTACKER to re-roll (presumably 'good'/hit) dice results.
With R4-B11, when you are ATTACKING a target, and have a TL on it (presumably it survived your attack roll so you didn't spend it before the enemy rolled evade dice), you can spend that TL to force the DEFENDER to re-roll their (presumably 'good'/evade) dice results.
It should help a bit with Phantom hunting! "Oh, you rolled 3 evades, huh? Lucky you - you'll be re-rolling those, now!"

So it seems, that's a first it caught me off track.
I don't know if we ever saw anything that modified defense dice (outside of Wedge). Then again with defense dice being so weak at first it wasn't really needed.
The thing that I really like about this droid is that there is no fear of leaving the blanks sitting there. With R7, if the opponent has a target lock than just about everything is going to get rerolled anyways. With this, evade dice don't tend to get modified much aside from the defensive focus. This droid is going to wreck high agility ships. I'm really hoping there will be another S&V ship that can take salvage droids.
I've always been a rebel player because I love dishing out ion tokens. S&V is starting to look more and more ion happy the more they reveal.
This is a really powerful droid, in my opinion. Probably my favourite offensive droid.
5. Modify Defense Dice: ...the attacker resolves all of his abilities before the defender.
Nope, it's always the opposite order, when attacking the defender modifies first, when defending the attacker modifies first.

Very confusing, I can't tell if you guys are disagreeing or not.
1. Attacker rolls attack dice.
2. Defender modifies attackers dice if possible (Sensor Jammer, R7,etc.). Defender may have to interrupt because attackers usually modifies dice immediately, which is fine there are only a few abilities that affect attack dice when defending.
3. Attacker modifies attack for final attack result.
4. Defender rolls dice.
5. Attacker modifies defenders dice if possible.
6. Defender modifies own defense dice.
7. Explosions or whiffs.
The more I look at this droid, the more I like it. Seems really strong. Makes me wonder if we'll see another scum ship with a salvaged astromech slot in wave 7 that has a little better synergy with it.
I'm not sure what they'll add but I'm thinking uglies would have some configurations that use astromech, I'm sure someone with better eu knowledge could come us with a few options.
I don't see them putting all that work into the astromechs just for the y-wing.
I think this baby is made for Drea (is this actually her astro from the fluff?) I would gladly take a stress to make someone reroll defense dice especially if I just launched a torpedo at it or really needed an Ion to go through

And I suddenly have a new favorite backseater...
This droid begs for a custom paint job and conversion, by the way.
So who is going to do the math on this droid?
