Fettigator+Echo+Backstabber

Hello,

i made my thoughts for a fettigator list and choose:

Firespray 31 - Boba Fett (39), VI (1), Navigator (3) - 43

Tie Phantom - Echo (30), Stygium Particle Accerator (2), PTL (3), Advanced Sensors (3), Recon Specialist (3) - 41

Tie Fighter - Backstabber

Definitely want advanced cloak over Stygium Particle Accelerator on echo.

To get the best use of her ability she needs to cloak and decloak.

Stygium Particle Accelerator I find I get one use out of it on generic phantoms and never really use it again once they get into the fray

Also veteran instincts is nice, but i see what your going for there

PtL and advance sensors is kind of nice but I can't fly her without anything else but veteran instincts.

And in this scenario, I still think advanced cloak is the way to go

A build I've come to enjoy and done well with was

Kath scarlet

Echo

Veteran instincts

Advanced cloak

2x academy

Can't remember but may have had something on Kath like recon spec, or maybe nothing lol, but it really flew well.

I've tried using boba but really his ability sucks on the Firespray, or at least imo. I never really get much use out of it.

Kathnot great either, but if it does get use, can be annoying for your opponent

Having two ties to muck things up is better than one, more guns, more fodder

Plus if you really want take kath, and put Veteran instincts on her and she same cost as fett, slightly better ability, and 1 higher ps

Ptl is generally a bad idea on a phantom, unless you have either Captain yorr or plenty of ships with wingman to relieve the stress.

But yes, you can't cloak if your stressed.

So if you decide to go advanced cloak ptl may not be best choice.

Though it did work Ok with a friend who used ptl, advanced sensors and advance cloak

He would barrel roll, focus, decloak, do a green maneuver, and clear the stress.

Only problem is your limiting yourself to a green maneuver which makes echo extremely predictable and since she a ps6 chances are likely other ships will get to shoot at her first before she can recloak

But getting that barrel roll prior to decloak sure made her even harder to catch, lol so many more places she can go

If echo is limiting herself to green maneuvers that leaves her with what, 4?

Looking at the board and seeing where ships and asteroids are in conjunction with echo can also give your good idea where she is going to decloak.if your moving after her she as good as dead

Haha nope.. from the decloak there are way more than that, then the green move. Anyone that become predictable when doing a barrel roll with the arc she has on that 2 bank, should die a horrible death.

It also shows a lack of talent at flying an imperial ship. When I fly imps I'm never where you thinkni am going to me, I usually get shot by another ship than the one my opponent thought they would use. You can't always know what ship you'll be in arc of, but I'm always out of arc on my intended target.

First off when I see echo I box her in.

Second you can usually figure out her main target, or what I like to do is use a ship to fish her out.

If she is using ptl and advance sensors, I know she is going to do a green maneuver.

If you've flown her a lot you can usually grab the idea of the first choice she is probably going to decloak, and go after which target

Especially if you set her up with one.

Now with boxing her in, and with the current ships on the board along with asteroid placement you can possibly narrow down her decloak options along with having a good idea which ship she is likely to go after

Echo can be a ***** to fly against, but when flying against her if you play your cards right, ya, she can be predictable.

If you guess right and your opponent sees that and decides to decloak in another direction, well chances are likely she is not shooting that round and that is still giving me an advantage.

It doesn't take a genius to be able to look at the board, and see what the options are. There are only so many and then from there know which is the best options.

The big thing and the real kicker is if what your currently using able to catch her. Flying xwings, and bwings can be a tough battle just for the fact that they cannot maneuver near as well.

I've killed echo many times using just a basic bounty hunter with hlc. Boxing her in with fel, and Turr in as one example.

I've also been killed by her a lot as well, so it's not to say it always works.

My main point is that if she is using advanced sensors, along with ptl, and if you know your opponent playstyle, it's not hard to have a pretty good idea of where she is going to go.

Just like I said

Box her in, and limit her options

She can't teleport from one side of the board to another, and especially if your opponent has ptl, it's not hard to get some shots off on her with higher ps ships.

Especially if your flying kath with veteran instincts, boba fett, fel, wedge, Han, Lando with veteran instincts, Tycho, howlrunner with swarm tactics and etc.

You cant tell me that every game you've used echo that you won. I'd find that pretty hard to believe. I would also find it hard to believe that games you have lost were all due to pure luck on your opponents part. I'm sure he managed to see what you were intending
