except that Star Wars occurs "A Long Time Ago in a galaxy far, far away" which would mean that Kermit and Piggie would have to be time travelers to be his parents.
Wait, it's because they would have to be time travelers that you have a problem with that scenario? LIke, that's one step too far?
I don't have a problem with the scenario, but most people seem to forget those opening lines about when/where Star Wars occurs when making theories like Kermit/Piggie vs Yoda...
Remind George Lucas and please chastise him over his Kermit/Piggie joke the next time you see him. ![]()
The first rule about Yoda's race is that we do not talk about Yoda's race...
Time travel may getthem to the right time but not the right place.. A galaxy far far way is difficult to get to. So they will need a TARDIS.
If you can travel in time, you can travel in space. If you couldn't, then even going back 1 hour would cause you to be out in open space as the Earth, the Sun, etc... have all moved from where they were an hour ago (not just rotation, but translation).
Well there was a planned novel which never came out that was going to reveal that the original human population of the Star Wars galaxy were originally from a stolen ship which fled Earth in the 25th Century then hit a temporal whirlpool which knocked them into the Star Wars galaxy hundreds of thousands, if not millions of years, before the movies took place. It would have also tied Star Wars into THX 1138, Gorge Lucas' first film, as the ship that carried the humans to the Star Wars galaxy was fleeing a new decree from the computers that ruled Earth, a decree that had been carried out before the events of THX 1138 took place.

I bet that idea died in the hottest fire.
