Im looking for stories that cover the initiation/implanting process of becoming a space marine.

Im also looking for one where someone explains the chapters of space marines to someone else.

Check the space wolf series by BL, I think the first one details Ragnar's induction into the Space Wolves.

The old editions of Inferno covered several different chapters - including some of the less well known ones - one included the Doom Seekers (or similar) where IIRC the objective of the final grueling test was not to succeed but to accept your inevitable failure.

Bortherhood of the Snale talks about the training process - they are basically Ancient Greek warriors.

what aspect of the process are you looking for and any particular Chapter?

In the Soul Drinkers Omnibus in Bleeding Chalice it goes into a little bit regarding the Great Harvest for getting recruits, the initiation process and the initial 'scout' designation who have some of the implants but not all.

If you can find it, the Index Astartes book (a collection of articles about Space Marines from GW's White Dwarf Magazine) has a great deal of information about what goes into creating a space marine. The first book (there are four) has the "Rites of Initiation."
