How far is too far

By Jbird793, in X-Wing

Yeah the same friend had a grey knight army in 40k he built to take advantage of fifth editions multi wound shenanigans, he's a power gamer.

Sadly he's also a bit of a bad loser so we've seen some tantrums.

Grey knights... Sigh.

There is no hope for him :)

Yeah but he won't do x-wing because theirs no sure way to win every game so we can keep flying casual and having fun.

It's never enough until your heart stops beating (probably due to your grocery budget going toward that next wave of ships).

When I got into magic the urza saga had just finished, trees were greener back then and the sky didn't have holes in it allowing deadly radiation to sunburn hundreds a year, what a dark and cruel place the world has become.

Urza's saga? Gah, whippersnapper! :)

I got into it with Revised and Fallen Empires. When i got the 1st Inquest magazine and i saw that i had missed four expansions, i was sad. Little did i know how long it would keep going.

Once every decade I almost get tired of it... Almost.

Im right there with you. I started when revised came out. My first booster box was Ice Age. I recently quit again cause my daughter said i spent more times with my cards than her. She actually told me to start Star Wars and thus here I am. Btw, shes only 6!

My wife said the sexy Princess Leia slave costume was too far...

Hi, my name is Mark, and I have a problem.

I have 35 ships even though I only have the chance to play once every few months. I check these forums and the ones at BGG several times per day. I listen to 2 or 3 differently board game podcasts every week, and my favorite thing us when someone mentions X-wing. I have even started to delve into WW1 Wings of Glory just in case I find someone who prefers that theme. Sometimes I find myself daydreaming about it. I fear I am neglecting my family and my Dominion game. Will I ever find a way out?

I've been playing xwing casual for several months now and I have to say my "addiction" is real. I catch myself wondering for hours about squads I wanna fly, pilots and upgrades that will go good together and ships I wanna build amongst other things. Now I'm thinking If the time I invest into thought is a little crazy or if everyone catches them self daydreaming about this game

welcome to the addiction ;)

But who was it for? You or her? ;)

That would be going to far... :)

Ok i'm not gonna be judgemental here (Judge Mental? ;) ) so if you are a guy and you wanna wear the slave leia costume for your significant other then thats fine.

Go /well/ together.

I'll get my coat.

I'm still addicted, though the preoccupation stage is ending. I spent money on a board game, am able to suggest playing a different game, and can sleep after tourneys.

LOL, it was definitely for her. I just don't think I could carry the slave girl costume off without massive shaving and... no, it would never work!

I've found myself considering making a TIE pilot uniform to wear to tournaments. That's not too far, right?

You've gone too far when the back of your base doesn't touch the end of the template.

Nah.

Actually, I've been thinking of getting a leather flight jacket and a custom patch for my homebrew Y-Wing squadron to wear while playing.

Nah, Gadge also has one. ;)

You win the interwebz.
