Do any of you think that FFG would print a card pack for cards changed due to FAQs. Do you think it would make sense for them to do it. I myself would like tham rather than have to refer to the FAQs all the time.
Reprinted cards for FAQ Changes
They change them in future production runs (see Daredevil) but they don't make card packs. I doubt they'll ever release anything with just cards in it.
I doubt they'll release packs specifically containing corrected cards, but when a ship goes back to be reprinted they will correct the card text.
Nope.
How about an BGG file that includes a downloadable jpeg that I can print on a sticker sheet, cut out, and apply to my purchased card?
All you great photoshop guys knock this out, will ya? ![]()
I hope a site like a few manauvers will post the new cards as they are released with new releases of the ships.

I made a set of those months ago
They're stickers that match the look of the cards. They're meant to be put over sleeved cards, not on the cards themselves. I uploaded the complete (at the time) set onto the X-Wing Miniatures' files section at Board Game Geek. Don't have the URL handy, but they're there. When I get time I'll do an updated batch
Or (if you sleeve your cards) just go buy a roll of envelope address sticker blanks, cut them to size, then either print of hand-write the changes onto the sticker and stick it onto the sleeve.
You can also use business card blanks, print the FAQ language on the card and slide that inside the sleeve with the card.

Awesome - thanks!
We talked to Alex Davey from FFG, Lead Developer of X-Wing along with Frank, in Episode 3 of the show. The feeling I get from him is that FFG is going for the 'out of the box' experience, and if someone opened a Starter or a ship today, or three years from now, it would all be the same. So any change or correction to the game would only ever be done via FAQ or Errata.
I can not see them reprinting cards with the 'next batch' being printed with the new, corrected ruling on them. This would allow for multiple versions of the same card to be out there, which is counter production to their Design Philosophy.
FAQs and Errata are much easier.
Umm, except there are already different versions of cards out there. See Expert Handling and Daredevil. Putting the errata on reprints is actually standard operating procedure for FFG. Including the LCGs.
They reprinted those? In which sets? X-Wing only please.
Problem is errata and FAQ can only go so far. At 18 pages of errata and FAQs it is 2/3 of the original rule book now. Eventually something has to be updated.
They were updated with the reprints in late 2013, or whenever the latest batch came out.
Updating is a good point,, but eventually when the FAQs and errata is longer than the rules then what do you do.
Edited by librarian101I am a big fan of the idea of a Version 1.1 of the Rulebook to address some of these issue. I can not see a 'Second Edition' of X-Wing coming anytime soon. So the question is what is best?
New, updated cards, sure, I could see that at some time having learned of the president set with Expert Handling and Daredevil. I honestly was not aware they had reprinted those. But how to do it? Put them in new updated ships, so you have to buy a new ship to get the updated cards?
Card pack to be up to date?
What solution would you go with?
it's nice they do the reprints to the new product. I'm not buying new ships to get cards.
Thanks for the link to the BGG file that is very helpful.

Solution to what? If they don't update the cards when a product is reprinted then everyone playing has to reference the FAQ. If they DO update the cards with errata whenever a product gets reprinted then people with the old versions still have to look things up in the FAQ (like they were going to have to do anyway) but those who get the newer versions won't.
Should also be noted that correcting mistakes and adding in the errata for subsequent printings is common practice in novels game rulebooks and the like. Why should the game components be any different?
With the way this game sells, there will always be a new printing.
As others have said, they do reprint with corrected text when possible. If you look at the description for "In development" on the Upcoming page (http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_upcoming.asp), it says:
"Reprints listed as "in development" are awaiting a new print run. Errata will be implemented whenever possible, but very few changes (if any) are otherwise made from the original print run."
They don't always bother to list them on that page as "In development" when they make these updates, but they do make them on new print runs, at least sometimes. I'm reasonably sure that at lease Expert Handling has been reprinted with corrected text.
