Please help a rebel player who is yet to win a game!

I understand the feeling! Though with me it is the other way around.

I like Empire, but I am terrible with them.

I am reasonable with Rebels though, but mainly due to the more tanky ships like the B and Y-wing.

As they do not explode after one attack towards them they can be a little more forgiving ^_^

Have you considered the defender plenty of shields and firepower.

The true strength of the Empire is in it's mobility and cheap Tie Fighters. Personally, I find it weird to fly any Imperial list with less than 5 ships. Get one or two great ships, and then just some Tie Fighters. Cheap Academies are great to slap in people's way and block them. Mid level ones are great to just swarm and 1 sharp turn, 1 sharp turn, dance around people.

If you fall for the "oh, shiney Tie Interceptors! I want lots" trap, then I can see how you want tanky. Learn to fly the humble Tie Fighter and you will do well. Try Vader with a mix of different Tie Fighters. Oh, and try it NOT in a formation and NOT with Howlrunner.

@Original Poster: I think part of the main thing is to learn how to fly with X-wings. They can feel restrictive when you look at all the other ships that move around a lot. Getting games in with 4 X-wings can be fun. Trying to set them up to support each other is the trick. Half your ships zoom into prime range to fire while the other half hang back and shoot at longer range. The first wave then K-turns (or starts to turn normal) as the second wave pounces. Rinse and repeat. X-wings are resiliant and have good firepower. If you are able to use them together, you can do well.

Tomorrow I will see a defender in action in an epic game. Qurious as I am considering one.

I did fell for the shiny interceptor and got blown to bits...

Currently I try several heavier ships supported by academies, but haven't tried vader with some back-up yet.

Thanks again!

Why are you losing? Because you're playing for the Rebel Scum. Come over to the Dark Side, and witness the power of the Jonus Brothers, Soontir's Shuttle Show, Ramming Speed, and all the other lists belonging to our glorious Empire!

Generally being a bast and blocking other people with your tie fighters is stop much fun!

Hi folks

This is a sorry tale, I have had about 15 games of xwing and am yet to come away with a single win!! I NEED HELP!

We normal play in a group game 2 v 2 using my ships verse a my friends imperial fleet, on Saturday we playing a 200 point game (biggest yet) and I need help with my fleet and some tips to finally win a game

My ships are...

3 X wings

2 A Wings

1 Y Wing

1 Falcon

Can anyone help me with building a fleet list and some tips please?

Thanks in advance John

For 100pts, and with you having difficulty winning games I'd go with the HSF list that Bail Blerg suggested earlier in the thread. It's solid, it works, and you can build it with what you've got.

OTOH, if you are trying to build the whole 200pts from what you've got, you are going to struggle.

Maybe this:

http://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Rebel%20Alliance&d=v3!c=200!36:-1,-1,33,31:2:-1:;0:18,-1,3:-1:-1:;4:-1,-1:-1:-1:;2:-1,-1:-1:-1:;9:0,-1,-1,2:-1:-1:;32:-1:-1:-1:;32:-1:-1:-1:

It's not fantastic but with the ships you have you don't have too many options to get to 200pts.
