I am putting together a list for an upcoming tournament and need some input. I´m making Chewbacca the base of my build. I find the YT-1300 very forgiving to fly and Chewbacca´s ability is nice. I want to make him as cheap as possible though because I want the rest of the list to have some bite, I don´t want it to become a "Fat Falcon" list in other words.

So, I´m going with Predator and MF title as minimal upgrades. This way you can use evade as your default action if Chewie has to tank and Predator still assures some offensive bite if blocked.

This puts me at 46 points, so 54 left to work with. Here are the three options I'm considering right now:

1) Wedge and Biggs

2) 2x Dagger Squadron with Advanced Sensors

3) 2x Blue Squadron with Heavy Laser Cannon (This option strips Chewie of his upgrades).

Any pointers are very much appreciated.

My input is that non-fat Hans and Chewies shouldn't be skinny, they should be svelte. I know that's a lot of help.

I'm setting aside your #3 because I wouldn't pull any more points from Chewie, but these are both excellent options. Dagger Squadron will have better maneuverability and slightly better durability overall, but the X-wings have better offense and (in a list with two other relatively expensive ships) is likely to do more to frustrate your opponents' targeting priorities.

I tend to like the adv sensor build better because of being able to use an action before maneuvering.

How does this look?:

I worry this might end up looking too much like a watered down Paul Heaver list (Fat Falcon, Biggs, Bandit)...

That's a perfectly acceptable list, as long as you're not of the mindset that all turrets are evil. Let us know how it works out.

My personal skinny chewie is with determination, Intel agent, and title. It gives him more staying power... put in the bloody daggers and you're 100 pt.

All turrets are evil! I just like Interceptors and Phantoms though, so my opinion is slightly biased. Turrets are growing on me...
