I have been trying to nail down when I exactly found Talisman, I have it down to 1986 or 1987.

This weekend we had a nice game so I brought it up with my 2 friends whom I have known for years.

I had bought Talisman in the Air Force and introduced it to both of them. One friend actually remembers his 1st game! He says it was early fall of 1987.

I had brought it home on military leave several times back then. And revealed the game to my friends.

My other friend claims he had already played it with me much earlier than early fall of 1987, saying he remembers me sharing my home written rules on the game with the other friend at his 1st play at that time.

I seriously doubt I had it in 85, as I got to North Dakota in the fall of 85 and didn't find gaming friends probably till early 86 there. I also know I did not buy it the 1st time I saw it, but probably the 2nd time (a game store in Grand Forks, ND).

So more than likely brought it home in the fall of 86, yet my other friend who says it was fall of 87 says the other friend was gone to Tech school in the fall of 86.

Well he also may have been home, if it was Thanksgiving, or if it was early 86 he was still in High School.

So nothing is still certain. But it sure was fun reminiscing about those old days, and rather remarkable that the one friend remembers the 1st game he played!
