If they have a birthday before then, well then send it as a birthday gift and follow up with a gift card at a hobby store.

I feel ya there.. lol.. in one of my groups I bring the X wing and we use my ships, this is why I have both sides and plenty of it. but others do the same, another couple guys have all the Star Trek stuff or one guy has the arkham horror stuff.. and so on..

Well not everyone shares the same interests. See if you can get one or 2 friends on the hobby or maybe make a few new friends that you meet playing the hobby and just enjoy other things with the friends you have who aren't into it. X-wing is just a game, it is not really a lifestyle.

I love strategy games. I'm a Starcraft addict. That's a lot of strategy ><. Not a good button or speed player. Absolutely suck at anything that involves clicking accurately. Like League.

Fortunately I have options, I game with 2 different groups of guys. Should get me more games soon. lol

I agree it's hard for me to get a game in. been looking more into vassal. <Sigh> half of my fleet is still in it's packaging..... Not many people play in my area, and my time is so tight it squeaks, so it is hard for me to go out and build a group. The nearest active group is 1.5 hours away. Poor me <sniff>
