starting scummers

hey guys, I originalky started X-wing as an imperial player because of bobba fett, I only got a couple models for them however because I kept asking, where are all the bounty hunters?

as you can guess I got pretty excited to have heard that bounty hunters are getting their own faction, now the question I have is this, out of the currently avalible ships, which ones should I get to prep for the full launch (I am repanting all my ships to fit my faction) I currently own a slave one.

Most Wanted has Headhunters and Y-Wing so you could go that way.

Most wanted also comes with dials and cards for the hwk and firespray, but no miniatures for them, so those two ships should be the top of the list to get right now.

probably picking up 2 most wanted sets,,do I really need more than 4 headhunters? I am really concidering loading them all with illegal upgrades as well.

The Most Wanted pack comes with an extra dial for a Y-wing, Firespray, and HWK. So, having a model for each of those dials would work. We don't quite know what the Scum HWK does yet, so it is tough to say how good it will be. But 4 of the Z-95s isn't a bad option. They are cheap filler, and the cheap source of an illicit upgrade for your squad.

Most Wanted comes looks like it comes with everything you need to fly the 2 Z-95s and Y-Wing that it comes with. In addition it looks like it has components for a second Y-Wing, a HWK-290 and a Firespray.

It's rare that I have a Rebel Alliance build without a HWK in it. They're grossly under-appreciated and more deadly than often given credit for.

If you want to get the most from a most wanted pack and only have a core set then you would need

  • Slave 1 expansion pack (sounds like you already have it)
  • Y-wing
  • HWK-290

With the most wanted pack you will have enough for

  • 2 ScumZies (S&V Z-95 Headhunters)
  • 2 Scum-Wings (S&V Y-wings)
  • 1 Scum Hawk (S&V HWK-290)
  • 1 Fire Scum (S&V Firespray-41)

Getting additional scum packs would give you another Y-wing and 2 more Z-95s. If you want double Hawks or Fire Sprays then you would need 2 MW packs as well as 2 Slave-1/HWK-290 expansion packs. Other than that you can just go for the exclusive S&V ships the IG-2000 aggressor, the Star Viper or the MA-3 Scyk.

Me personally, I plan on getting 1 MW pack (as I already have 1 of everything) and 1 of each of the S&V expansions with maybe a double on the MA-3 pack.

If you are going for 2 MW packs and you want to double up on Firescums and Scum Hawks then having 2 Slave-1 packs and 2 HWK-290 packs are the way to go.

Having 4 headhunters is probably not a bad thing for S&V players as with the illicit upgrade you might find more applications for the ScumZie-95 than their Rebel Scum counterpart. Also it sounds like ScumZies are the staple of the S&V faction.

Also you will already have 2 Y-wings with 2 MW packs so getting 2 more individual Y-wings might not be a necessity and is probably a good plan as it is getting harder and harder to find Y-wing expansion packs. Still you might want at least 1 Y-wing expansion pack for the 2 proton torpedoes and extra Ion turret since we still don't know how many (if any) of those upgrade cards will be in the wave 6 packs. The HWK will have a single Ion turret but that would only be enough for itself. If you want both HWKS and the Y-wing to Ion you will need more HWKs or Y-wing packs, in which I would recommend Y-wings as you would already have the dials and tiles and pilot cards for them.

Get at least one HWK. They are a fun Rebel ship and widely used and powerful enough to be used competitively.
