Acrylic Hotness

By Shaadea, in X-Wing

I, too, am interested in the current development/availability status.

I would like to order some target locks. Are they available yet?

Any word on the english site?

I'd love to order a set, but the currency conversion worries me, because I have no idea how to actually pay you in a different form like that. I can see how much it'll cost, but don't know how the rest of it works. Anybody know?

Just use a currency converter (google) to compare it, then add about 3% for the cut that paypal takes for foreign exchange

As I write, €22 is about $26 USD or $31 Australian dollars

Gotta get me some of these!

So PayPal does it automatically?

The play mat I have is easily scratched. Do the tokens have rough or sharp edges?

I've bought many things from foreign countries on eBay, if you use PayPal, it will show you (and the conversion is automatic).

As for these scratching items, you will have that problem whenever a material is harder than another material. I've seen some softer vinyl plamats that don't hold up all that well to acrylic movement templates. Then again, the base of all our ships are acrylic. The templates just "wear out" the playmat faster due to more acrylic stuff being used on them.

You can mitigate it a little bit if you very finely sand ALL the edges on all your acrylic pieces (including the ship bases). At that point, you can flame polish all the sides too. But doing that is definitely a labor of love, there's a TON of little corners on all those maneuver templates and bases!

Or instead of all that ridiculousness, you can just get a neoprene play mat like most people have and not worry about scratching anything at all. they're cheap and look nice and most importantly they dont snag or move during game play.

I love mine that I got. If he makes some Range 1 and Range 2 templates, I'd probably get them. My buddy is jealous and wants to order some of his own, too.

Range 1 and 2 templates are so convenient, that I am surprised the Core set didn't come with them.

If you, like most people, have two core sets, you could easily just cut a range band off one of your templates and voila!

I have a set from Applied Perspective and they've been immensely useful.

I've officially ordered my templates from this thread, and wanna throw out a big thank you to the guys who helped me figure out how to order internationally. Turns out it was pretty darn simple, thanks to PayPal. From now on, I can order with confidence.

Thanks all! REALLY looking forward to getting these in the mail. Will of course post pictures, and keep this thread handy to recommend them to all who ask

Yeah, but ours is cool ;)

It is 3' x 5' (the size of our kitchen table) with 3' x 3' marked off by green lines, range one zones for starting position highlighted, The second death start in one corner and Endor in the other, rebel and imperial logos on the other corners, and "Property of Commander Mike" (my son) along one edge.

So many were asking for them, here they are finally: Our token selection

There will be sets with a collection of tokens, but it's also possible to get each token on its own (for those that only want 17 droids, for example ;-) ).

Target lock goes from A to H. We didn't see the need for more, but could easily be done if needed.

As always if you have any questions than ask away. Please DO NOT send message with price request or purchase wishlist through the pm system here, I can only store 50 messages and I'm already close to that limit with all the former conversations (plus, via email you will get my reply faster, as I'm checking emails several times a day, but the forum only once).

Instead send email to info*at*miracle-versand.de

I especially love the critical hit tokens. The minus to red and green dice is pretty cool. I'm curious how many of those would be in a set? It wasn't that long ago and I actually put two minus red die on a Fat Han, which was pretty funny. The pilot problems are great.

Do you know what type of sets you will sell? Or how many of each in each? I did send an email, but was also allowing you to answer in here as I'm sure you will get asked.

Those are super sweet. I'm sure I will be ordering more once my shield tokens and templates arrive.

(I forsee a mass order once my buddies see this stuff. lol)

We are still deciding what would be the best composition. There will be 2 sets for the basic stuff (evade, focus etc, not TL though), a small one and a larger one. Then there will be the TL (for those that want to get several Basic sets, they probably don't want the same TL several times, so TL comes extra). Shields are already extra, and will stay that way. And then all the other tokens in 2 sets (small and large). Maybe even a Set with the whole bunch in one go, but that is a hard one to decide; I rather put smaller sets together so you don't get too much unwanted stuff (unwanted amount), and have the option to get each single token extra.

We should have it together tomorrow (tuesday).

Anyone who's ordered in the past: about how long did it take for your order to arrive (and your location?) and did you receive any sort of status/shipping notification?

I ordered. It took about 4 weeks? I didn't get any notification. I think when going from EU to US that that kind of shipping costs a lot. I did ping the seller and he said it shipped. It just took a little longer than I wanted.

I should report that I'm ordering some tokens, as well. I'm sharing shipping with my regular opponent who now wants the Odera templates. You gotta keep up with the Chadwicks.

Living in the same country as the shop is located in, I received my maneuver templates just about a week after I ordered them. I am however very pleased with the quality of my items!

I'm in little ol' New Zealand so I'm guessing mine will take as long as the FFG Boats... ;)

Am I the onyl one missing the Epic manuver template or did i not see it ??
