Acrylic Hotness

Wow! People will buy anything...

I don't understand all the excitement about plastic parts that duplicate the parts provided with the game (unless you don't have a core set) but...

... if it increases your enjoyment of the game...

... I'm all for it!

Stay thirsty, my friends.

You guys may want to change the Droid, EPT and Crew icons. Those are straight up copyright infringement. 3rd party token vendors walk a fine line, that's crossing it pretty clearly.

Nah, take a chance!

Really don't. FFG quietly provides a lot of freedom to 3rd party token vendors, largely because they try real hard to stay on the right side of the copyright and trademark infringement line. FFG does seem to like unlicensed 3rd party support products anecdotally (the Tournament rules even explicably support them), but they will have to take action if actual infringement takes place (they have to protect the license on behalf of LFL). When lawyers get involved, overreactions tend to happen. Lawyers may instruct them to send C&D letters to ALL vendors, not just this one.

Litko?

I don't NEED these, but they sure look cool! Also, there is less confusion as to who's is who's when you play with other people. I also like the Universe set as I might be able to tell where the 2 sharp turn is as I get used to that color when it's in the pile of templates.

It's just like people repainting their models. They don't HAVE to, but they like being different and looking a little better.

thanks for the concern. I will talk to the designer about it, I know he changed some bits, he probably has to do some more :-)

I would love to get a set of the maneuver templates and the tokens, but I can't for the life of me find the PM function. Where did they hide it?

...where did these come from and how much money can I throw at them to make them come to me

What he said.........

How much do you think shipping will be across the little water to the UK ?

And, are you going to do a big set, move & range templates and tokens when they're all designed and produced ?

And, and, they look appsolutly great dude :)

I have maneuver templates that are starting to wear on the corners. I have been considering acrylic ones for some time now, simply because they are more durable.

Ok, here are the live pics of the odera puzzle set:

Also, the designer edited the tokens (the 3 "questionable" ones), here's the final version:

(the icons are either free vector graphics or self made by the guy)

thanks for all the interest, all messages will be answered today :-)

So if the graphics are printed on one side of a clear template, what does the back side look like?

the same, only not as "shiny".

Anyone who has spilled water or other beverages on their templates and seen them swell up and deform, stepped on them, or pinched and crushed them between the lid and divider of the carrying case as I have, appreciates the value of acrylic templates.

So if the image is printed on is does that mean it could also peal off through use?

only if you break the seal that's on it beforehand. To break the sealant you'll need some sharp tool (fingernails will not do), and once you went to work on your templates with a knife (or nail, or screwdriver, or whatever strong pointy thing you have to damage your templates) the print is not your concern anymore.

I'll post a video later this week (well, more like weekend, many mails and pn with questions about the templates that need to be answered, plus orders coming in) where I demonstrate how "easy" it is to get the print off.

This is not a regular home printer, it's an industrial machine (that costs well over 10 000 euro) that is normally used to put print on stuff like pens or lighter or such; it's supposed to be durable :-)

Any more details on the tokens? When will they be on the web store?

Here are pictures from the shield tokens. There's an original cardboard token in the front, for comparison.

we made them a bit smaller, it gets quite crowed on some cards with the original cardboard ones (B-Wing)

Sweet! I'm hoping mine come in the mail today. I've got my epic demo game this weekend and only one set of templates!

Dang, those shields look awesome...Anyone have a guide for international orders/currency exchange?

Where can you order these?

I can't wait for the English version of the website goes live.

**** you guys make some nice looking acrylics

Chrome will translate German to English.
