Capital Ships in Battle

Remember you attack first and move second. So unless you think ahead where your opponent may move for the next turn (best educated guess) it may be harder than you think to get lined up to get two attacks on one zone.

Not so much if they've already moved this turn, especially if you know you'll be moving first next turn.

Since your opponent's speed is locked in and the ships aren't nearly as maneuverable as X-wing it should be relatively easy as long as your opponent doesn't have a navigate command/token to predict the general area they will be in, but you are right it will require your opponent too place him self in a good spot for you

When you're shooting at Star Destroyers, sure, but smaller ships have a far higher speed potential. A Corvette might well not be anywhere near its former location the next movement phase.

Of course. The larger the facing side of the target ship's base, the easier it will be to set up a dual firing arc attack, and the easier it will be to avoid taking one with return fire.

Which means it will be imperative for the Rebels to bring 2 arcs to bear to offset the greater imperial firepower, while the Imperials will have to dodge out of as many dual arcs as they can.

This may be viable stratagies. I wonder if there may be some kind of mechanic included in the game via rules or particular ship or personnel card to mitigate this...or help the option.

Well those firing points are interesting. You don't have to rely on the lines for your firing arcs. You sue the yellow dots amidships and slightly inset. Makes getting those dual arc shots much easier.
