Character Creation

By pelican, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion Beginner Game

Do the beginner rules cover character creation or can you only use the pre-generated ones?

Cheers

Pre-generated characters only for the boxed Beginner games. There's one character from each career though (if you include the PDF bonus characters), so it's enough to get a feel for what role each was designed to for.

e.g. When I think "spy" I think "smooth-talking alcoholic" but Vendri (Duros Spy from the box) is more of a Splinter Cell infiltrator type ( Jin-Rio , the Hooman Ambassador is far more charming).

The pre-gens have a smattering of talents from all three specialisations of their career, too, so they don't convert exactly if you want to continue playing them after you start playing with the Core rules.

( Arkhan (the Bothan Commander) looks badass - I'm amazed nobody in my group wanted to play as him.)

Cheers Col. Orange. Another quick question; are the stats for the Edge of the Empire races available anywhere? One of my players is keen to play AoR but as a Twi'lek, can this be done without buying both rule sets?

I see what you did there.

Great, now I am going to make a Twi'Lek named Bon'Jaams Bond. He has a taste for Uurberry Vwoops. whipped. None of that "Shaken. not stirred" stuff.

I always thought that Jin-Rio is an Agitator more than Amabassdor (2 ranks of deception and 1 streetwise)

I believe this is the correct profile of the pregen:

Arkham - Commander: Tactician

Jin-Rio -Diplomat:Agitator

Cael - Soldier: Commando

Zhal - Ace: Pilot

Vendri - Spy:Infiltrator

Tendaar-Engineer: Saboteur

Lareg,

I took a look at the pre-gens blank sheet at the end of their portfolios, noted the trained skills, and tried to match it with the talent trees in the core rulebook. I got:

Arkham - Commander: Tactician

Cael - Soldier: Commando

Jin-Rio -Diplomat: Agitator

Tendaar-Engineer: Scientist

Vendri - Spy: Scout

Zhal - Ace: Pilot

Hi! Are there any opine chargen programs? I have a busy life, and also like to print out pro-looking PC Sheets for my players when I can.

Thanks,
