Which cards have you most excited about the wave 5 releases?
For me, it is Mara Jade.
I very much enjoy stress and wish to give that wonderful exclamatory gift to all of my opponents!
Lone Wolf, Ruthlessness, and Tactical Jammers also make the list.

Ion Torpedoes, for crowd control:
Not exactly great for current Fat Han/ Phantom meta, but should be fun in casual matches.
Oh. I really not happy at all that the Lone Wolf comes from the YT2400. Which I probably won't get.

I agree. I'll be buying the YT because of Love Wolf and maybe a few other cards.

I am just extremely disappointed. Lone Wolf is a great Imperial upgrade too.
And there's a bunch of other good cards in there too! A HLC. I need one more of those too.
Dash is a fun ship to fly, worth it if you want to play rebels at all.

I wouldn't buy it for the upgrade cards though.
I've been enjoying the Decimater: Run over the enemy and cause damage, then get a free action, then shoot at an enemy ship, repeat if I miss, then hand out extra damage to one of his nearby friends, then finish up by handing out stress to the ships nearby. Plus drop a proton bomb when it gets fun, I caught 3 xwings with one when they rushing in to help their rebel scum friends.

Is this real? Mass ions are the worst thing in the game.

How is this not good against falcons/phantoms? A 4 dice attack that ions multiple ships- you know that the damage isn't capped at 1 like every other ion weapon, right?

How is this not good against falcons/phantoms? A 4 dice attack that ions multiple ships- you know that the damage isn't capped at 1 like every other ion weapon, right?
Because you need to tag Han twice with Ion fire to affect him - hence why Ion Missiles (which do two ion tokens straight off the bat) are better against large ships - and because Phantoms aren't big on formation flying.
Ion Torpedoes are great for anyone who's going to try and hold a formation - Rebels with Biggs or a TIE swarm with Howlrunner, or whatever.
TIE bombers (or Y-wings with Bomb Load) will probably love these things. Mass Ion a formation then dump proton bombs into the spot you know they're going to drift through.

All of this.. I am digging these cards right here, I'm thinking on the Decirammer, the Tac Jammer might be fun. Have him hit the front line, then all your ships behind it get a bonus green die first combat round, then blast them from cover and maneuver next round to maybe jockey for the cover again and repeat.. hmmmm this I may have to give some serious thought too.. lol
I am going learn to be good at flying Decimators if they don't suck. =)
Tie Defenders are cool, and I love them, but making a list work out to beat RPS is too hard. ><
Well, initial signs are promising - they're actually pretty fast and they can turn well. The problem, of course, is that complete lack of defence dice.
Kenkirk/Isard/Hull Upgrade should make for one hell of a beast to kill.
Lone wolf for rexler and fleet officer will be great, also really looking forward to shoving a turret ship down the throats of rebels for a change.

That's exactly what I meant, yes. Ion torps beat formations, and I don't think they qualify as 'mass Ion', since they are 1-shot weapons. Anyway, they're not the best vs phantoms since it's generally pretty hard to line up the target lock and firing arc for a phantom shot, and to have a focus handy to make the shot count - (the ion torp doesn't have any built-in dice modifiers like proton torps or many missiles). If you land a hit it's great, but I think it would be too difficult to arrange most of the time, and there are much better ways of dealing with phantoms. I want to use it to set up enemy formations for Proton Rocket runs by prototype pilots.

I love that parents and kids play. At my guest tournament I faced a father and also faced his son.
My daughter I is only 4 but she likes to roll the dice for me.
