Cheapskate questions about the championship. I know it costs money to play the game, but cheapskate is my nature. I just bought a really big tackle box and I said to myself as I was paying for it "It's just part of the cost of the game". I did pay less for the tackle box than the pre registration cost tjhough...and I get to keep the tackle box.

I see pre registering for the November 6-10th 'event' is $40 and you get to pick which 'flight' you are in. If there is room those who didn't pre register can play if there is room.

Do the 'day of' people who didn't preregister still pay $40? Can a person 'risk it' and just hope one of the two flights isn't full?

What if a person just wants to do the Escalation side tournament instead? Is pre registering still needed? Would you be expected to pay the $40 if you were just doing the side tournament?

It's $40 (at least) no matter when you pay. Waiting till the day of won't save you anything.

If you're spending however much it costs to travel, get a hotel and pay the entry fee (I assume there's one?), the $40 registration doesn't seem like it should be an issue.

These events cost money to run, hence why they cost money to enter.
