How would you round off this list?

My favourite 2 ships to fly are Echo and Soontin Fel.

I love the manoeuvrability of both and the challenge of arc dodging.

So my list contains:

Echo + VI +ACD

Soontir +stealth + PTL

Leaving me 32points to spend.

Id like to have a main threat that will force my opponent to deal with it early game to allow echo and soontir to flank. If the opponent goes for one of them instead the choice must hit hard to punish them. Im happy to lose that ship as a trade off. Ill run echo and soontir against 2/3 of my opponents ships happily towards the end game.

My thinking at the moment is a shuttle to sit and throw out shots. Perhaps a doomshuttle. But perhaps kagi to force the target locks away from echo and soontir.

Open to all suggestions though because I'm probably overlooking some ideas!

Hmm interesting suggestions, i like the damage it can output.

I looked at gunner but I've never used it. It always seems expensive to me, you feel its worth the 5 points? How would you look to use a shuttle outfitted like this?

Engine upgrade just to improve the manoeuvres?

Without the Engine Upgrade, you'll spend 2-3 turns getting back into position after the first pass, which is not good.

Gunner is well worth the points. It is pricey, but it all but guarantees a hit, especially since you'll get a free target lock off FCS after the first shot. It also creates mind games, your opponent has to decide to use his focus and potentially set up a better shot.

gunner+fcs is great.

the shuttle often doesn't get actions, because of bumping or boosting. so you throw your first 3 dice attack and hope it ends up missing (stripping a token or two would be nice) then you get a free target lock and get to shoot again (w/ TL). and you get another free target lock.

A Buzzsaw Lambda Shuttle would be good; however, I think Turr Phennir would make a fun addition to this list.

Again, I just think it would be more fun, not necessarily more competitive.

Wow the combination of fire control and gunner never really dawned on me before. That is brutal!

I actually played the Turr Phennir addition to the list. With predator rather than PTL. PTL makes his pilot ability useless, I enjoy the barrel roll away as well. It was brilliant fun and I won the game but I did think that it made the list a little bit too much one dimensional and would be hard countered by some builds to easily.

I think the shuttle is the way to go - 2 tie fighters dont have the same presence and I feel that people would HAVE to deal with that shuttle.......

turr can trigger PTL on the post-firing boost/BR. so you fly in tight, focus, fire, boost/BR and THEN evade for defense.
