Hi
Just a quick update about some of the new features on my squadron builder.
I've fixed quite a few bugs recently. The major ones are listed in the update log but many more should just disappear quietly. I've also added some little features, like the page's name changing as you select different tabs.
Touch device users may noticer that the list of pilots no longer has a popup allowing you to preview or add. iOS 8 killed it and I haven't figured out just how yet. In the meantime, I've had to switch to the desktop version. Note, though, that you can still get a preview with a quick tap on iOS, while a longer tap adds the pilot.
Localisation is coming on nicely. While the only language visible is German, a team of volunteer translators are very kindly working to add French, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Spanish and Swedish. I'll make those languages live as soon as I have the translations ready. I have also added localisation to the print-out pages, so you can build and share your squadrons in German.
Talking of sharing, when you print a squadron, a QR code is now added to the page. Scan this with a smartphone and it'll open the squadron on my site. Now you can get a copy of squadrons you see at tournaments or your local game shop much more easily.
Finally, the developers of the various squadron builders have been secretly working together on a plan for World domination a format for moving squadrons between our apps. Got a friend who uses Fab's builder or YASB? Soon you will be able to export a squadron from my builder and send it to him to import there. Trapping someone in a particular app is not cool. Once we've finished implementing the XWS format, you'll be free to move your squadrons around however you like. And even better, you will hopefully be able to use the format to enter tournaments. Just print out a QR code containing your squadron, take it along and a quick scan later, the TO has all the details.
For now, you can only export. Go to Share > Another app in the squadron builder, or click the Export button when viewing a squadron in print format.
Enjoy!
