I recently purchased a new Tantive IV CR-90 and was going over the missions (Campaign Setup). I haven't played them yet but I wanted to begin setting them up to play. My question is in the mission setup it gives a description of what ships and upgrades to use. It then adds a squad point total. Here is an example:

Mission Setup

Rebel: CR-90, 75 squad points, the rebel player cannot field any unique ships or upgrade cards

Imperial: Soontir Fel (Push the Limit), 3 Black Squadron Pilots, 75 squad points; the imperial player cannot field more than one large ship.

My question is this. Do the pilots named in the scenario (i.e. Soontir Fel, Black Squadron Pilots etc) count into the squad point totals?

Or does the Imperial player field Soontir Fel, PTL, 3 BSP AND 75 squad points of whatever he/she chooses?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

I believe the way it's worded is "And" those points.
Otherwise, it's 75 points of TIEs vs 150 points of Corvette....

^^ That's the way I played it too. Otherwise you're really under-powered and don't have much of a chance.

Thanks for the replies. That makes the most sense. And after reading through the missions again it does state the named ships plus whatever point total is listed. We played through a mission tonight and yes the Imperials would be decimated with the point difference if it was calculated the incorrect way. Makes for some tense missions. Tons of fun though.
