I think we are talking about ships from Rebels because FFG has to keep putting out new ships to keep the game alive (at least profitable for them). Of all the EU stuff Rebels seems a good place to get ships since it is current (and made by Disney).
So the Ghost is really big. (Rebels episode 3 spoiler)
Why does everyone assume the Ghost will even be in X-wing? It strikes me pretty funny based on statements made by FFG, it doesn't seem likely to turn up for a while.
Its been a while, but I remembering getting the impression that the clone wars stuff was very unlikely, but any of the star wars productions going forward in film or animation were fair game, as long as they could add something interesting to X-Wing. Also it would make sense if ffg were waiting for lucasfilms to debut the gozanti before developing their huge imp ship. I'd be surprised if they dont announce it within the next six months, and if they do so there's a good chance we'll see the Ghost.
If you didn't know episode 3 of Rebels is free on iTunes. (The premier counted as episode 1 & 2.)
That looks a bit bigger than a falcon to me. Maybe about the size of the Rebel Transport. In the premier we saw that it's also about the same size as the Gozanti cruiser.
Which is kind of disappointing because I'm really liking the ship and it's crew. Though if it makes into X-Wing (which it probably will) it'll have to be in Epic only, which means it'll see a lot less play.

No, it's just iTunes labels them funny.
The 'regular season', with episode 1 for free:

Ah, its not available on the UK iTunes Store. But its showing in Disbey XD tomorrow
After earth ******* sucked and you should feel ashamed Mr Smith. The ship's a Mary sue like the cast.
Don't start none, won't be none.

Ah but the quote is from Men In Black which was great. I added after earth to the place in my brain that does wild wild west and I am legend so I don't have to think about them.
This is the size of the Rebels ships (official sizes, all at the same scale):
I keep using your drawings, hope you don't mind...
NOPE,
people put your brains in gear, a third rebel huge ship
before any S&V huge or Imperial huge is absurd (It's called Star Wars REBELS).
Ghost is about as likely to be a huge ship as to not be a rebel ship, not likely at all.
As has been made abundantly clear Ghost would have to be made
IN THE SMALL SHIP SCALE to make sure it's bigger than the YT-1300!!
made in a the same scale as the GR75 it would be SMALLER THAN THE FALCON!!
YT-1300................34.75 m /270 = 12.8 cm, 5 in
GR-75 Trasport.....90.00 m /400 = 22.5 cm, 9 in
CR90 Corvette......150.0 m /450 = 33.3 cm, 13 in
Ghost....................43.90 m /270 = 16.2 cm, 6.4 in
Ghost....................43.90 m /400 = 10.9 cm, 4.3 in
Ghost....................43.90 m /450 = 9.75 cm, 3.8 in

I would make it forward and backwards firing arc, with the Cannon Upgrade that only works in the backwards firing arc.
I'm pretty sure that top turret isn't restricted to the aft. In the premier movie (double episode) when Chopper goes back to fix communications Kanan is rotating all over the place.
I don't see why the base card couldn't have fore and aft arc lines and a turret symbol like the YT-1300, and then like with every other ship the insert that comes with it would explain the arcs.

I thought the ghost had both a turret and forward and rear facing guns.
I thought the ghost had both a turret and forward and rear facing guns.
No it has three guns, one forward on the nose, one aft between the engines, and the turret on the top.
I figure the top turret is a heavy laser cannon (4 dice), but I'm not so sure about the other two.
The rear gun looks an awful lot like a small turbolaser (4 dice) H6 or XV7 turbolaser.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Shipboard_turbolasers
And the forward gun could be your average laser guns (3 dice).
Edited by gabe69velasquezAgain, haven't seen the show yet, but from the pics I have seen I was thinking the rear guns were the forward guns of the smaller ship that docks in the ghost, so it would loose those guns when the smaller fighter launches.

That's what he said. A turret, forward guns and rear guns. Hence the theory from some people that the ship should have forward and rear arcs and a turret upgrade slot.

That's what he said, after I said it, I just ignored him like he ignored me.
I also said the other, after Melminiatures said the turret should be rear arc only.
Are you both trying to be annoying on purpose, reading half of what people write
and then adding the other half as if they missed what you are saying.
If you're going to only partially quote me, then don't pretend I didn't say the part that you didn't quote afterwards.

Well I have seen all seven episodes and I haven't seen any ship that docks in the rear with ghost.
But apparently there is one: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Phantom_(attack_shuttle)
Very odd considering Chopper goes from the bridge to the rear to fire those guns in one episode.
It's all concept art though, it hasn't made an appearance in the show yet,
unless you count it being very well hidden in the top rear of the ship.
• Taim & Bak MS-2B twin laser cannon
Ridiculous size guns for a shuttle.

Ah... gabe69velasquez... why does this always happen in the threads you write on when you take the matter too seriously?

I always try to be annoying on purpose, if your doing it by accident then your doing it wrong old chap.
See? The spark has caught fire... Now this thread will be worthless bickering.
Urgh fine I skipped a little when reading and may...MAY of missed something.
I'm not against the ghost making an appearance I just really really don't want yet another turret ship in our dog fighting game.
See? The spark has caught fire... Now this thread will be worthless bickering.
I don't start it.
Just tell me what three weapons you think they are.
I don't think the top gun should be just a turret,
I think it should be a cannon slot with a turret arc.
Although, since the inside is supposed to be very modified,
maybe the outside is also considered very modified.
Edited by gabe69velasquezBalance wise I do not want to have to pay for an alternate arc and a turret cannon yuck. Besides the top gun blasts ties up close can't be a hlc. I would be OK with the top as a turret slot, short range and a primary and secondary arc if she is shooting 2 ' s.
The Ghost needs to not be a better falcon. She is an ewar bird with enough firepower to keep basic ties honest.

In the beginning of the second episode of season one, they have four TIEs chasing them very close and Kanan manning the top gun and he says "I don't have a shot" when clearly he did. Perhaps they were too close.
I still think for the shear size of the top gun, which reminds me of the YT-2400's turret, it has to be a cannon slot. Unless they come up with a new "Heavy Blaster Turret" upgrade card.

I don't think the gun on top is any bigger than the quad blasters on the Falcon. Barrel is got more to it but the boxy bit on the back is smaller. However, look at the difference in size of the guns on an Interceptor, Slave 1, X-wing and Lambda. Clearly physical size does not align with delivered firepower.

Have you seen the turret on the YT-2400?!?
Just put a YT-1300 next to a YT-2400 and you'll see there is a huge difference.
You couldn't be more wrong, next to the YT-2400 the Falcon's Quad Lasers are tiny.

But the yt-2400 has fire power two unless you use the title and HLC, that's the same as a tie fighter.
Military grade weapons will of course be more powerful than what most civilian ships carry, ones built with the intention to destroy the enemy the other is for defensive meant to deter pirates and thieves.
Of course they've only taken on unsheilded ties so we can't tell how they'd handle something with shields.
I don't know if the Ghost will be on XWMG someday, maybe if during the show appeared a new imperial ship to release also...
My 2 credits...
Well, with TIE Fighters and Star Destroyers being this heavily stylized, don't you think the "realistic" version of Ghost could actually be a bit smaller and less bulky?
And yes, these are regular TIE Fighters, their bulkiness is a matter of artistic choice (which is that of recreating McQuarrie's concept art style).

"Upgrade" is a game term used to describe a measure of customizable modularity, but for most ships with upgrade slots there is a standard upgrade weapon. For example the TIE advanced has the missile upgrade slot and you don't have to take missiles in the game, but in-universe concussion missiles are the standard payload for the ship. If you don't take the cannon upgrade for the YT-2400 then you may as well cut the turret off the top of the miniature to conform with your non-standard refit.
"Unlike the YT-1300, the YT-2400 comes with strong shields as standard equipment and has weapon hardpoints built in. Standard weapons include laser cannons, dorsal and ventral, mounted on corellian 1D servo turrets. A total of 13 weapon emplacements are build into the design, with 6 used in the ship's stock configuration, leaving seven free for easy modification..." Page 27 Haynes Millennium Falcon Owner's Workship Manual.
What I'm saying is, if the cannon upgrade is covered in "the ship's stock configuration" then the two dice attack must come from one of the other four weapon emplacements that are also standard. That would suggest the 30 point basic YT-2400 is wrong, but FFG puts their own spin on things for game mechanics. They could have gone the other way and made the ship much more powerful game piece, but then the basic version would have been that much higher priced. The YT-1300 starts at 27 points, so imagine if the YT-2400 started at 42 points.
