I believe the correct term is Warsie. And in my case, I'm actually a Wrekkie (or Twarsie?)
Very OT:TCW Mandalorians
I'm in the same boat as Perniciousducks. I started with the Thrawn trilogy, and loved it, then went on to Jedi Academy, truce at Bakura, the Crystal Star, Courtship of Princess Leia, and the Han Solo books from the 80's, and a few others, most of which were ok at best. Shadows of the Empire and Tales of the Bounty Hunters were cool, but not amazing, same with dark horse's Dark Empire and X-Wing comics.
It seemed like the best of the EU was pretty good, and the worst was terrible. But I've read a lot of other science fiction which sets the bar pretty high for my standards. I tried reading Shadows again when S&V was announced but the writing was so bad I couldn't get past the second chapter.
I did like so of the Legacy stuff I read. I liked the idea of Imperial Knights, Luke's junkie Bounty Hunter grandson, and few other bits. I hated the idea of a Tuskan Raider that became a Jedi, thats exactly the kind of crap the kills the EU for me.
Tusken Raider that became a Jedi? If you are referring to Tahiri Veila, she wasn't actually a Tusken, she was a human who's parents had tended the wounds of a Tusken tribe chief, and he was sparring with the husband one morning when his tribe saw him, and thought he was under attack, so they killed her parents and burned down the farm, but he found her still alive (she was a baby), and due to the mistake, he made his tribe raise her.
Radarman5 could also be talking about A'Sharad Hett.

Again not an actual Tusken, though I don't know to much about that era of time. ( the article also states he is a human)

Both him and his father. So I guess they weren't natural tuskins, but even that seems kind of dumb. But Most of my knowledge of Tuskins, and the EU in general, was from the 70s-90s, a lot of that got changed up, redone, or discarded over the past 24 years.
