Completely OT: Did you like Sabine or Janan more?

By tiefanatic, in X-Wing

Kanan right now seems the most interesting to me, as he is a jedi that does the things fans think a jedi SHOULD do.

Hera is better waifu material than Sabine anyways.

Sir, thems fightin' words, they is.

These are Mandalorians:

I'm rather glad that the clone wars did away with the mando ****. The deathwatch are the oldschool mandos, but mandalore no longer wants war. It makes sense, they are like post imperial japan.

Agreed. I actually really liked that arc. Societies ought to evolve, and this was an interesting way for it to go. I always wanted more follow up on that story, and the glorious wondrous light of the sun and all that is good Sabine can give us that.

How can Sabine give you more of the Clone Wars Mandalorian arc? She obviously wears beskar'gam, the same armor that was worn by the Death Watch (and all other Mandalorians until CW came along). So, if we're just talking canon Mandalorians, she must be a Death Watch.

she must be a Death Watch.

Or she just wears mando armor and isn't actually a mandorolian... Or else she's fighting against the Empire trying to free the people of Mandilore.

Dafuk, TCW. Mandos aren't a race. (!?)

They're a culture.

she must be a Death Watch.

Dave Filoni said she was a Mandalorian, and if she was fighting to free Mandalore, why would she be wearing the armor of the hated Death Watch? Now, if we're talking Legends-canon Mandalorians than she wouldn't necessarily be a death watch, but since that isn't canon anymore the only people who wear that armor are Death Watch.

So, even if she is Death Watch, that still continues that story, unless they completely gloss over it. I'l also say not necessarily is she death watch, she could take on the ancestral armor of her people and try to redeem it, use it to defend freedom instead of oppress. I simply mean there is an opportunity to tell more Mandalorian story through her, assuming she does rep them.

Sure, the only people we've seen wear it are Darth Watch, but that was their way of representing the old ideals? I think? I'm fuzzy on that bit, but I don't remember that armor being a new invention of the Death Watch.

Yeah, everyone thinks that you have to be from Mandalore to be a Mandalorian. I guess it's because of TCW.

why would she be wearing the armor of the hated Death Watch?

Because it's good armor and helps her fight the Empire?

And apparently if you are a ridiculous only what you see is true, no room for conjecture etc. you would also say that pretenders also wear it.

And Boba Fett, right? Or is he Death Watch? (Wasn't being snarky, actually asking)

If the Death Watch used it to honor their vision of Mandalore, Sabine could do the same. Its all Legendary? now, but we have seen a lot of interpretations of the Mandalorian way. Canderous had a fairly different approach then some of his predecessors, as one example.

No, Boba is not a Death Watch, but also technically he is not a Mandalorian. I have no problem with Sabine's armor, because I think Traviss' Mandalorians are much cooler than TCWs but technically the only canonical Mandalorian use of beskar'gam is by the Death Watch.

Dafuk, TCW. Mandos aren't a race. (!?)

They're a culture.

People seem to not understand this.

Yes and no.

Mandalore was always a planet. Originally it was the home of a race of reptilian bipeds which fought a bunch of stellar wars with the humans from Corrusant. They took on the name Manda'lorian and became this great nomadic tribe that fought across the galaxy for almost 4000 years.

About a hundred or so years before Yavin, the Mandalorians (who were now mostly humans) got their butts kicked by the Galactic Republic and parts of their homeworld were reduced to ash and sand. Realizing that change was the only way for their people to survive, they became the New Mandaloreans. These people were seen in the Clone Wars tv show.

Now your reference to Mando Culture is only exact if there is someone acting as Mandolore. Which there wasnt during the Clone Wars and as well as during the Galactic Empire/Rebellion Era. :)

So ya, the only way to be Mandolorian in this time frame, is to be FROM the planet of Mandalore, specifically of that ethnic human lineage.

*Apart from the Deathwatch, which she is not part of.

But if you look at it from Republic Commando or Legacy of the force, most Mandalorians are not native to Mandalore.

but technically the only canonical Mandalorian use of beskar'gam is by the Death Watch.

There's 14 years between TCW and Rebels, so it's completely possible that she has a suit of Death Watch armor. As far as we know Death Watch isn't even around any more, the Empire could of crushed it, and she has a suit of armor from someone who was around when that happened.

Yes, that is possible I guess, but currently we don't know that that's happened.

The funny thing is the guys we consider true mandos were working with the GAR cloners to help train ARCs. In effect the Republic is more mando than the current mando runing mandoville.

Deathwatch thinks they honor the traditions of the old ways but they are just psychopaths, looking at the new Mando chicks helmet it reminds me more of a deathwatch helmet, could be shes psychopathic because them there freaks were her family.

Me and Sabine are married already. In my mind at least. >.> <.<

I... dont think this is a good idea... When you two get a house you know what color shes gonna want it right? The color will be dead people... You know what color your neighbors hate more painted on any house than rainbows or electric pink...? Dead... People... Youll have to watch your back any time you dont fix the squash when see needs it done... When that happens you need to be unpredictable, Allways have 6 escape routs plained she wont know about, make sure she only knows to paths she thinks youd take that you wouldnt....

All you need to survive is two knives, one steel, one stone, the stone one will be sharper hence why Ewoks are so deadly. Youll need to take class in emergency preparedness, wilderness survival, and first aid, just in case you need to do cpr on yourself or try and identify anything you cough up after an explosion that could be kiwi sized and pink.

If she catches you off guard in bed remember its better you lose an arm rather than take damage to the head or chest. If your large intestine pop out dont painic, it initself will not kill you, you wont be able to scream however depending how intact your abdomen.is still in the right place... Shoot up a very high dose of adrenaline to keep you awake...

Now if shes attacking you in bed youll need to take her out quick by arming your fingers through the eyes sockets or putting the pam of your hand on top her wind pipe and your thumb deep into the spot where the meat of the jaw meets the neck...

This works well with unenvited guests too, like on people that try and sell me oven finger gloves or dehydrated water... Or little midget clowns trying to sell me blankets made with teeth...

Always be prepared

ps dont do any of that stuff I wrote you to anyone.

but currently we don't know that that's happened.

No and I hope they go into details about what did happen in the show, how did she get the armor, what happened to her people, ect...

She did say something her people but I can't remember exactly what. Something about fighting to save them from the Empire?

Dont worry about the older material, we got 2 important people that works for LFL saying the older stuff is still canon till contradicted.

Yeah, she said something like that. I want them to do that too, because it would be interesting to see what happened after the Lawless.

It has been contradicted. By The Clone Wars.

If you live next to count Olaf youll be ok... =)

Funny thing is, when watching the Clone Wars and Obiwan would shout out Satine I kept expecting to hear Ewan MacGreggor break into song, "My gift is my song, and this one is for you!"

Damnit my wife is rubbing off on me, and not in the good way.

I would argue that it IS in a good way. Nothing wrong with appreciating good music. Moulin Rouge was pretty cool.

Sat on the roof... And I kicked off the moss~, well some'a these verses well they....

They've got me quite cross... But the sun's been kind, while I wrote this song~, it's for people like you that...

Keep it turned Oooooonnnnn~

EEEGGNOOOOOOOG
