Completely OT: Did you like Sabine or Janan more?

By tiefanatic, in X-Wing

For those of you who have seen Star Wars Rebels' premiere, did you like Sabine or Kanan more?

I liked Sabine more, of course, since she's a Mando, but what about you guys?

Sabine

It's Kanan, not Janan. They both have their strong suits. Kanan is the father figure of the crew and Sabine is the loyal but mischievous daughter. I really don't have a favorite in the crew as of yet. I saw episode 2 and Zeb is becoming my favorite character after watching that episode and learning more of his back story.

lol yeah I forgot that...whoops

I was too busy giving the purple thing the finger after he screwed over the kid to notice, and all the other times too busy fuming over how pathetic the empire was made to look.

And the wookies...THE WOOKIES!!!!

I have to agree with Ezra's taste. Both in helmets and people.

Sabine's cool as f*ck.

I liked Kanan though. I liked Kanan a lot, and that's saying something considering how stupidly close to Kyle Katarn he is in both design and action (though mindset, a bit different, even though he's totally macking with his pilot, lel.) If he's some sort of successor to Kyle, I'm increasingly okay with that.

But yeah.

Sabine is f*cking badass.

I quite liked sabine's asking for the description of the explosion.

I quite liked sabine's asking for the description of the explosion.

That was pretty hilarious. She's the best type of maniac.

Also? Explosive paint? BRILLIANT. I thought that was a great touch.

Hera, hand's down!

"Spill."

That was a pretty great line.

I got to go with Sabine as well, she's Mando, plus the explosive paint is cool and I loved her asking for a description of the explosion.

No favorite yet, I think I like them all. They have a pretty good group.

Hera is a cool character though. Kanan has his Pros, and Sabine is definitely interesting. Ezra is going to have to grow on me, and Zeb is becoming more interesting, more than just a muscle head.

They seem to work well together, and that is important.

Honestly, I couldn't give two squats that Sabine is Mando.. it doesn't make her a better character, it's where she comes from but isn't who she is.

Chopper - a grumpy astromech made from spare parts - and using his appendages (keep it clean people!) to further express his personality was fun. May be more interesting than the OP Clone Wars R2 (they spoiled him by making him TOO capable ..... Rocket boosters?)

And The Inquisitor looks suitably sinister

You know... I dont have a favorite character. I think most the Reb crew in this series are psycho, for diffrent reasons of course.

Sabine is the worst, she takes joy in turning people into paint with explosives. I swear the next time I see her she will be asking Imperials at the bar if they like Huey Lewis or Phil Collins and after that she will bring them back to her room on the ship and chase them around with a chain saw and use there blood for paint. SU SU SUDIO its HIP TO BE SQUARE, feed me kitty...

Ok maybe shes not that far gone, That being said I still think there interesting characters from what IVE seen kinda.

Too early to have a favorite.

I like Kanan, I think that so far they did a good job with the whole Jedi in Exile thing. After watching the clone wars just recently I found myself thinking it was too bad Kanan and Ezra were gonna die before it was all over...

Because you know there are no more Jedi left. But then I remembered the EU was no longer really valid and that Yoda may very well believed that Luke was the last Jedi left after he died. But he couldn't of actually known that.

So who knows we may even see Ezra in Eps 7.

Sabine. My toddler gets excited about her, her armour is awesome, I love how she uses colour and flair in her work, and how she enjoys what she does.

Having two female characters who are strong and not damsels is very good.

Kanan is just another regular white dude. Not worth mention. He's Every Show Joe.

While I like Sabine, she does not look Mandolorian (according to the Clone Wars show).

The Mandolorians are a planet of fair skinned blonde haired super people (arrhmm what?).

Sabine looks South East Asian or Latina (or a combination of both). Maybe a relative of Jango Fett and the Maori vibe didnt translate in their animation style?

Funny thing is, when watching the Clone Wars and Obiwan would shout out Satine I kept expecting to hear Ewan MacGreggor break into song, "My gift is my song, and this one is for you!"

Damnit my wife is rubbing off on me, and not in the good way.

An entire planet of fair blonde people is pretty far fetched. Perhaps that was just the fashion at the time? Jango wasn't fair skinned or blonde, but he apparently wasn't native to Mandalore either.

Just like Jango, just because she's wearing Mando armor doesn't mean she's native to Mandalore.

Maybe it has something to do with the way food and water are processed on there planet... Maybe the majority of there members breed themseleves and or engineered themseleves to be powerful and blond haired, some have platinum hair or darker tone.

The Clone Wars Mandalorians are not the standard for Mandos. Those happy-clappy space travelers are NOT Mandalorians.

lol I did the EXACT same thing

Me and Sabine are married already. In my mind at least. >.> <.<

Kanan right now seems the most interesting to me, as he is a jedi that does the things fans think a jedi SHOULD do.

Hera is better waifu material than Sabine anyways.

These are Mandalorians:

I'm rather glad that the clone wars did away with the mando ****. The deathwatch are the oldschool mandos, but mandalore no longer wants war. It makes sense, they are like post imperial japan.

Agreed. I actually really liked that arc. Societies ought to evolve, and this was an interesting way for it to go. I always wanted more follow up on that story, and the glorious wondrous light of the sun and all that is good Sabine can give us that.
