Same list from my last 4 round tournament: http://community.fantasyflightgames.com/index.php?/topic/122752-always-outnumbered-never-outgunned/

This event was at Epic Loot Games in Centerville. I played against 3, 3 ship rebels builds at this event. Maybe I am influencing the local meta, probably not.

Round 1

I played against James S, who was playing Eating Aboat, Corran Horn, and Biggs Darklighter.

We set up across from each other for the joust. Biggs promptly melted on the first engagement, and between Etahn at range 1, and Corran double tapping, James took only 1 shield off of Jan in return, due to insane evade rolling. From that point on we danced around each other, trading fire. I only missed with something like 5 out of 55 attack dice all game though, which is really insane. 100-0

lesson learned: you can recover from a bad roll or two, but when your opponent's dice are on fire all game, there is nothing you can do.

Round 2

Neil, who was running Wes, Etahn, and a green squadron with a bunch of upgrades.

I had a lot of fun this game, but I honestly don't remember much of what happened, except that we ended up trading ships. I wiped, and I think lost 2 of mine. Oh well, I was enjoying myself well enough.

Round 3

Round 3 was against Dave, and this was definitely one of the toughest games I have played over the last 2 weeks.

Keyan with chewbacca, opportunist, hlc, sensor jammer
Wes with vet instincts, shield, and r3-a2

Prototype pilot

2nd game in a row of Wes clones, clone wars.

The joust here saw Wedge get killed when Keyan rolled 4 eyeballs, and I rolled 2 blanks. Revenge of the dice from game 1. I then killed Keyan in the next turn. After a couple turns of jostling and trading shots, both of our Wes's died in the same turn. So we had been trading ships, but the game came down to a full health Jan vs the prototype, and I won.

Round 4

Round 4 was a nailbiter. I would be playing the winner of the table next to mine, which was my buddy James C, running Whisper, Howlrunner, and 3 obsidians against an 8 bandit swarm. I didn't want to play the bandits. Nobody wanted to play the bandits. Fortunately, James won 60-44 in points, so I didn't have to fight the bandits.

He deployed Whisper on the far right flank, from my perspective, and the swarm on the left. I knew, from my last time playing against this list, I had to end it quickly. I was going to go after Whisper first, and hope that I could knock her out. Fortunately, the asteroids would prevent the tie swarm from easily turning into me.

Normally, I move up 1 for the first 2 turns, to let my opponent commit. I think James counted on this, moving his ties up 5 and Whisper up 3. I moved up 3 also. This left him in a weird spot. If he tried to turn with Whisper and I hit the boosters I could shoot her at range 3. If he tried to k turn behind me, and I hit the brakes, he was going to be in front of me with his ass in the breeze. As it worked out, the ties turned into the asteroids, I moved up 2s, and Whisper tried to duck over to the edge of the board. Revenge of the dice, and she died to Wes and Jan.

After this point, the game was mop up, I killed howlrunner before she could fire, and ended up losing Wes to a wipe out.

Results

Ended up winning, going 4-0. James C got 2nd, due to MoV.

Todays Lesson

"2 skill 10 pilots. Who does that?"

Nicely done. Thanks for the recap. :)
