I know this is local news, but the HOTH event featured a world class caliber competitor field including Hothie, Dom, Victor Robles and countless others. We raised 1200 for the UI children's hospital and had a premiere world-prep event. Thank you for all who attended. A field of 32 and it was spectacular.

This is a really heart warming article and news piece, the reporting actually did both the cause and the game great justice. I'm really happy you guys were able to take something you love and make a charity out if it for a great cause. I wish I could've been there to fly with you and contribute as well, but I'll definitely be looking out for local X-Wing charity events to help those in need.

I don't think you will find a higher caliber of field from top to bottom at a non-FFG Major Event than we saw yesterday. What an outstanding group of not only players, but people as well. We raised $1200 for the UI Children's Hospital, which is no small feat with only 32 people. Thank you to all of the travelers for coming to this tournament and for giving to the charity. It was an amazing day, and it was all done in about a month's time. Next year will be even bigger and better. Hope to see you then!
