I found it interesting, and for the most part enjoyable.

I do, however, find it hard to believe that you have an ISD flying in atmosphere, about 500-1000 feet off of the ground.

In the past It used to be that only the Victory Class could go into atmo BUT then came along the new Trilogy. In ep 3 the majority of fight scences you see with fighters and cap ships are in lower orbit, later you see Venerators parked on the planet loading troops and supplies. Then in SWTFU you see Imperial 1 class ships in Atmo before Star Killer gets his hands on them.

All that being said I probably will never get to see the show till it comes out on disc...

I got some enjoyment out of it, I saw it first a few nights ago, and then a couple more times.. I watched episode two of it.. that one left me wanting. I won't spoil it but certain aspects bothered me, though I did like the ending.

I will agree the Wookiees were done poorly, but we knew what they were, and... wookiee juveniles.. we dont really know everything about them.. so, I didn't mind how that went off. Waiting to see more of the Inquisitor... he seems appropriately douchey.. lol

The SD, was a SD I... as others mentioned, they have been mentioned In EU books as atmospheric... I didn't have issues with that. I think it played well there and gave appropriate intimidation. Loved the Gozanties as well... versatile craft..

Re: XWM, Gozanties were the same size as the Ghost so both would be Falcon/Decmiator sized, right? That's how they're showing it.

No one could police an interplanetary empire if their elite forces were that bad, you have to remember stormtroopers are meant to be something you fear, I think in that whole episode one wookie got hit once.

You can't have the main characters dying but they can take glancing hits against armour or have clothing singed but instead we have a guy just walk out and neo style dodge plasma bolts something better trained Jedi could not do.

And I agree, Stormtroopers should be feared. They are, just not by the chracters. The local folk fear them and they are effective against those civilians.

I think they just like making sure the 'heros' save the day, and do it without getting roughed up. Many of the main characters in the movies dodge damage, until Leia gets shot in ep 6.

I think they could make the Imperials more deadly, but then we'd have to accept that some of the main characters might be out of action or dead. So maybe they hire Joss Whedon, or George R.R. Martin and start killing off characters... lol

Save some Ellipses for the rest of us! I needs them too...

I'm 20 and I just finished watching it with my younger siblings who are 14, 12, and 9. We all loved it. For a first episode I thought it was pretty solid. Set up the characters well, established the rarity of the Jedi, wasn't overly comedic or Disney-ified, solid action scenes, some neat shots of the ships. I'm looking forward to the whole series. My expectations weren't too high based on what I saw from the preview clips but I came away from the first episode really wanting more, which is how I felt after the first Clone Wars episode. I'm really enjoying the stylized um... style... of the show. Yeah, the Wookiees were kinda strange (especially the little one) but they fit in with the look and feel of the show. Wookiees are creatures defined by their hair and this show doesn't focus on detailed hair, so naturally the Wookiees are going to look odd. As far as the Empire coming off as weak, as someone else said, the majority of the people are afraid of the Stormtroopers and captains. The main characters of this show are crafty and intelligent and were able to escape and outsmart the Empire. I don't think that necessarily speaks negatively on the Empire as a whole, but just shows off the skills of the main characters. I'm sure we'll see more struggle in episodes to come.

I didn't get to see the show but just remember we got lots of other material showing IMPs doing great, so if it has to come down to it, its just the legion involved that isn't to good. Don't forget the 37th was a joke until Fel was forced to join the.

As for the dodging issue don't forget like every named hero that last long in sw ends up haveing a good conection to the force even though the don't know it or don't believe in the force. When they get into the "zoneL they are using the force to aim. Dodge or manuver into great postions.

Loved it! So did my daughter. Is great to have something brand new for Star Wars that we can enjoy together.

I did not like the way the Wookies were drawn, but that's pretty minor.

Some of the texture for the hair, if it was digital, was weird. If it was hand-drawn, it's a bit more forgivable... but still. The wookies and even Ezra's hair at one point, just looked... wrong. Like it was a layer of plastic. But that's about my only gripe with it.

The handling of the ability, or lack thereof, for the Imperial troops is very reminiscent of how Lucas wanted an "Old West" feel to the original trilogy. The heroes are in white (Luke & Leia), the bad guys in dark colours (Vader, and the Imperial officers), and Solo was a mix of black & white clothing. The Stormtroopers are entirely cast as the "hired help" type lackeys from the Westerns that can shoot all day long, and keep *just* missing the heroes. They're around for dramatic purpose, not their accuracy or efficiency. It'd be a pretty boring show if every Stormtrooper fired their blasters with pin-point accuracy and every hero was dead or injured in the first five minutes.

Honestly that would've made a great pilot to have everyone killed the first episode. Talk about your plot twist!

I liked it, so far it's better than the prequels at least. I agree with the others about the plastic looking hair on ezra and the wookiees. Hopefully that will improve with time, like the Clone Wars did as it progressed.

I enjoyed it for the most part, but it falls short of the Clone Wars. It's to localized. Everything takes place around Lothal. The animations aren't as good as TCW either, but aren't overly bad except for the Wookiees. Those were awful.

I really enjoyed it. It felt fairly Star Wars to me, which The Clone Wars had a little trouble doing here and there.

Corny every now and then too, but that's okay. The climax of RoTJ had a cackling geriatric with mages fighting with lazor-beem-soordz too. Star Wars is corny, and that's okay.

Awaiting the next episode.

And I agree with you ... it was nice to see the Gozanti cruisers both in space and also in atmosphere. It would make a nice Imperial Huge. I wonder if they would actually include TIE's with it.

Ideally it would come with TWO! Then with a Core set a person would have a full complement!
