And so, I'm back! What'd I miss?

Yeah. A number of smart people are claiming that well-flown Phantoms are impossible to beat. I haven't had the chance to go against any such, and have barely seen any Phantoms at all, so while I can't judge that claim, the reaction against them has been kind of a disaster. Friends have told me about tournaments with 10/12 lists running Falcons, and they're beefed up enough now that low attack ships are really struggling against them. To some extent I'd say that Predator is responsible for a lot of it. As much as Falcons, that's made low PS ships really difficult to get away with, pushing lists in a direction that makes them more vulnerable. Then when you hit the easy button and put that on a Falcon you get free re-rolls without any actions, so action blocking them doesn't do nearly enough. I wouldn't say that the sky's falling, but it's beginning feel a little like Attack Wing after the Borg came out. Just zip around taking 360 shots since the particular list you take is becoming much more important relative to what you do on the table. What I'm afraid for is wave 5 cementing this all turrets all the time meta.

But immediately thereafter is Scum with a whole load of tricksy abilities that will mess things up for people relying on one pancake.

Clearly it's a half-eaten cheeseburger with an olive

...no, really, that's the inspiration for the Falcon's shape.

Interesting to welcome back someone I have read more posts from than I the amount I have posted myself, so

Welcome back!

You missed a whole discussion about ending a post with the word greetings,

A speculation about a fourth faction moments after the third was announced,

The Star Viper expansion contains an upgrade TIE Interceptor-fan ought to love,

And last...., but not least....

The current designers promised to improve the TIE Advanced!

You know, now I'm curious what part of the cheeseburger accounts for the two pointy bits at the front.

Yeah, there's been a lot of smoke but very little flame. I was at a tournament last month where there were more named YT-1300s present than Imperial players, but I've only faced 3 Phantoms in total since their release.

Don't be too downhearted though, on Thursday at FFG we had 22 players with only 4 YT-1300s, and two of them were Outer Rim Smugglers! Still lots of Rebels (trying out their shiny new Aces) but there was a little bit of everything on the field, and the Empire ended up sweeping the top 4 with pretty much every Imperial ship represented between their lists..

Every ship but one? :P

Take a single bite out of a burger and see for yourself.

Which one? TIE Advanced? Nope!

4th place had a Darth Vader I just couldn't touch! Definitely my hardest fight of the night, right down to the wire with a modified win. He had the Lambda too, actually, an unupgraded Omicron Group Pilot.

I'm honestly surprised no one put this here yet.

Oh, I was thinking of them as additions to a circle. I'd heard it was a burger, but not that it being partially eaten was part of the story.

Speaking of which, you also missed a huge Star Wars themed gif party (about nine pages worth).

Well, the tread wasn't locked or anything, why not start up the party again, in celebration of Dracon's return.

Kaxel was exposed as a fraud. It was oddly baller.

Kaxel was exposed as a fraud. It was oddly baller.

What does this mean?

People linked to other forums where Kaxel had ripped a whole lot of people off, by trading for miniatures and cards and never sending his part of the trade (and he admitted he did it deliberately because he could get away with it). It also showed that he has been doing the "greettings" think for a long time, and that he CAN write perfectly readable English but chooses not to in order to annoy people.

OTOH, if you are asking what "baller" means, it is slang for "awesome".

And.... there is also the thread about Imperial Huge ships (somehow adding a link didn't work).

If you haven't started reading it yet you'll have still a whopping 54 pages to go!

Lol I meant Kaxel. Why was he doing the greetings?

EDIT: Could you send me a link to the topic?

It gets interesting on page 4 ;)

Thanks!
