What kind of list will you likely play first (Based on what we know)

Im super excited for this game and wish there was more discussion about this game. So just for fun I thought I might think of a way to use the imperials I plan on getting. The news article explaining the command stack got me thinking, how should the VSD should choose their stack at the beginning of the game.

So what kind of List do you want to play first, and what do you think your battle plan will be?

I plan on buying a starter and trading the rebels for another set of imperials with my friend who is also buying a starter. This will give me 2 victory star destroyers and a bunch of tie fighters. I plan to deck out the VSD's and fill the rest with fighters.

I plan to deploy the VSDs pointing towards the center of the table in opposite sides and screen each with a number of tie squadrons. First command in the command stack will be engineering to build save up some defence with an engineering token. second command probably a navigate command to help mobility to either slow roll forward or to make a sharper turn. If not needed I can get a navigation token saved up. and the last command will likely be concentrate fire because ill be in range. The next command in the stack (the first planned on turn 1) will probably to activate squadrons to lock all enemy squads in place.

I am thinking probably 2 VSD IIs and a Gladiator with remaining points on Ties(ideally Interceptors) or for Rebels 1 Mark II Assault Frigate, 2 Corvettes, 2 Neb-Bs, (maybe dropping the Corvettes for an extra Frigate(either the Assault or a Neb-B)

No real deployment strategy probably keep my squadrons behind my Capital Ships until close enough to engage, (Don't want them getting picked off too early by AS fire)

I want to try a fleet consisting mainly of corvettes. If all else fairs ram the cheese wedges with half a dozen of them:P

:In a Tabletop Star Wars RPG session I once led a fleet consisting of a Class C Frigate (basically the predecessor to the Nebulon-B model) and a dozen CR90s plus fighter support against a pair of Imperial Star Destroyers. It was actually going pretty well (two CR90s lost in exchange for one Imperial class) until a second pair of Star Destroyers arrived and everything began to fall apart. Fortunately we were just buying time for their real target to get away but he fleet was pretty much gone after the battle. If I can ever get enough CR90s together I might just sub a Nebulon-B for the Class C and try to recreate that battle in Armada sometime :D
