in case A keyan shoots hits/ misses if he misses and the other ship has used tokens second attack has his ability focus

in case B he would have oppertunist happen on both attacks as the stress would be removed before the second attack by his pilot ability

In a build that expects to make highly accurate attacks (the equivalent of 4 dice + focus, and often target lock as well), you're spending 6 points on something that triggers only on a miss.

Gunner B might be a thing, but it doesn't make sense there.

That said, Wes Janson would be pleased to offer his services to Keyan the Opportunist.

EDIT: Also for one point more than E2 + Gunner you could nab a HLC for +1 attack that's still modifiable by Opportunist.

To be fair to OP, he's also expecting to be shooting the first round at targets that initially have focus and/or evade tokens; so that's 3 dice/no modifier in one case.

Keyan will still have a TL at the very least. It will be rare that Keyan will be missing, especially if Opportunist triggers.

The only time Keyan won't have modified dice is if you barrel roll for your action. To ensure Opportunist triggers regulary, you need to throw Keyan in a squad with higher PS pilots, or put decoy on someone who's lower PS.

I don't think Gunner is a good co-pilot for B-wings. It makes the generics as pricey or more pricey than the named pilots.

If you want to Opportunist him, give him an HLC/Opportunist and team him with Wes Janson. Five dice with free offensive focus while shedding stress.
