I think the scope of this game mostly based on the ships and space dogfigthing not the jedi and force even on the pilot cards you dont see artwork of the pilots themselves you see their ships. Infact i think this game benifts -greatly- from not going all fanboy on the jedi.

Corse of you want to have custom rules for having Vader hang out the side of his Tie advanced throwing force lightning across space and zapping other pilots nobody's stopping you Just get a regular dice and some stickers the size of the dice faces and a pen.

That'd be ridiculous.

Whether adding the Force dice/rules to the game would increase/decrease enjoyment for some .. I argue that it is better without it.

One of the draw cards for this game is the simplicity. Have you seen a GW rulebook recently? Do you see people immigrating from X-Wing back to Warhammer? I (and by extension, the friends who I have introduced to this game) love it because it a game that is easy to play .. yet constantly challenging.

It is this simplicity that makes it enjoyable. I say keep it that way.
