The idea is to clog the board with the cow and them kill with the mini swarm. It's really all the ships I have so I hope it's not a whole noob fallacy. Thank you for reading.

It's a pretty fun list. I prefer a few academies for friendly bumping for profit and a named tie or two. Wingman + shuttle is also a great pair.

I echo the thought that I would not mind a couple of Academy pilots in there for blocking. That would leave you with 4 points more to play with. If you like, you could give EPTs to your Black Squadrons or drop a Black and make it an Alpha and let Howl Swarm Tactics it for a cheap PS 8 Interceptor.

Just won a small tournament (8 players) with 6 academies, OGP, gunner, FCS.

So you should be okay.

If that's all the ships you have then I would only make 2 modifications:

I would change the 4 black squadrons for

2 academies

Dark curse

backstabber

This gives you 2 blockers and a better PS bid with 2 nice pilot abilities.

Last escalation tournament I ran (full list): Howlrunner (bare), 6 academy TIEs, (2x) OGP shuttles w/EU + gunner. Only lost first game due to tactical failure (like inability to neither hit or dodge - LOL). Fortunately the Dice Gods heard my laments and favored me the rest of the day.

I'll add my voice to those who think dropping the BSP down would be a good idea. If you are paranoid about Predator even going to Obsidians would give you 4 points while keeping you at PS 3 and those could be used for named TIEs or other upgrades.
