Fattest Han list concept/advice

By Akkio, in X-Wing

Hello everyone,

after some thought I decided to try a different take on the Fat Han list by making a version of my own.

Han Solo (46)

Push the Limit (3)

C-3P0 (3)

Gunner (5)

Millennium Falcon (1)

Engine Upgrade (4)

62 total

Green Squadron Pilot (19)

A-Wing Test Pilot (0)

Chardaan Refit (-2)

Draw Their Fire (1)

Wingman (2)

20 total

Rebel Operative (16)

Jan Ors (2)

18 total

The idea with this list is using both the A-Wing and the Hwk-290 to block opponents and support Han.

Han can turtle for the first couple of engages for 3 evades a turn (Evade action from MF title, Focus turned into evade by Miss Ors and the final one from 3P0). After the initial engagement, Han can use EU for some arc dodging if possible and if not as long as he keeps at least range 3 of the Rebel Operative he can stack up the 3 evades a turn.

In the mean while, the A-Wing can keep close to Han with EU as well clearing his stress and sucking crits and if the opponents decide to go after either the A-Wing or the Hwk Han can PTL to stack up the offensively.

What do you guys think?

I think you're better off not relying on wingman. Use Luke (crew) instead of PtL. That will give you a gunner with a pseudo focus. No need for PtL.

I can see the reliability of wingman being an issue. But without PTL you can't generate the 3 evades a turn.. This might be one of those cases in which a list looks good in theory but it will disappoint in a game..

This is a terrible idea. Sure, you've got 3 evades a turn, but only one ship that matters. Your opponent is free to focus everything on Han and ignore your other two ships, and once Han dies your survivors have no chance of winning the game. You've effectively made a one-ship list with a 100 point Falcon, and that's never going to be a viable strategy.

Have Han with 3PO and Jan (recent ruling says Jan can affect herself) and then you don't need to worry about taking a hwk seperatly. Then have a chewie with r2d2 and gunner, that's pretty tank too.

Luke EU is more maneuverable than ptl eu gunner. And the damage is at least comparable.

Corellian Corvette

Out of curiosity, where is this recent ruling? I think I may have missed something.

Gag I can't find it in the search function. I remember reading a thread that some guy got a reply back saying that some dude was able to affect himself cause ffg clarified that it didn't say another. If it says another you cannot affect yourself.

Or something to that effect.

FFG even amended a Rebel Aces article to correct that Jan can affect the ship she is a crew on.

Why bother with 3PO? Use Recon Spec, and you can choose to have 2 focus, 2 evade, or 1 of each.

Because he is passive and doesn't require an action.

The problem with this is you are resorting to turtling up. You are using your actions (with or without PtL) to either Focus (get two from Rec Spec, turn 1 into Evade with Jan) and/or Evade (MF title). Now what are you going to do to improve attack? I guess Han or the lone Focus is enough for some, but I prefer to either have PtL for offense (TL+F) or Gunner/Luke.
