How would you change this list? Z mini-swarm/E
Drop a bandit and put engine and an astromech (R2, R2-D2, R7) on Corran. Your E-Wing is dying because you aren't putting quite enough into it to help it live. It is a clear target, so you need to make it evasive and tanky. I know it is tough to sink more into a single ship, but most people are going to disregard those Zs. Make Corran hard enough to hit that piling on 2 dice attacks has time to work.
Edited by GiraffeandZebraNow I'm no rebel expert but wouldn't eatin a boat work better with a swarm than corran.
Swap Corran for Etahn + Predator and R2-D2. His ability is awesome with swarms; crits are everywhere. And Corran . . . well, you don't really need extra attacks with a swarm, do you? To keep Etahn alive, evade just about every turn -- that's where predator comes in.\
I don't think Etahn is THE answer, just a different answer. Either works, but the spirit of the list is different. The Etahn version roughly equates to a Howlrunner swarm type of play. One ship provides the buff and the swarm does the damage. You are using the whole set as one cohesive entity. The Corran list is more analogous to the elite ship + miniswarm archetype, be it Phantom + support or even falcon+support. Your support ships are there to lean on and wear down your opponent so your elite ship can make key strikes. You are working to get your key ship to the endgame by using your support as something akin to fodder to set up the endgame. While the Etahn list, like a swarm, is likely better served by more ships, the Corran list is helped by a more elite Corran.
So it comes down more to what type of list you want to fly and less about one being inherently "better".

E'tahn is a force multiplier so you'd want him to be more survivable than the rest of the swarm. I'd set him up with either Squad Leader or PtL, along with R2-D2. If you decide to go with Advanced Sensors then he will end up going over 60 points and you can drop a Z for some missiles to put on the rest of them.
Edit:
Or you can run Super-Value-Town Corran Horn:
Corran Horn (35)
Push the Limits (3)
Advanced Sensors (3)
R2-D2 (4)
(45)
Tala Squadron Pilot (13) x4
(52)
Do your double actions with Corran, follow it up by a green maneuver, clear your stress and regain a shield token. Also, bumping the Z's up to Talas will increase your swarm's PS by 2 so you can shoot on the same turn as Daggers and before Bounty Hunters. It also leaves at a total of 97 points, so if you want to downgrade a single Tala to free up a point you can throw on the shield upgrade on Corran to make him more beefy.
Edited by SpikeSpiegelI would change Corran for a fully kitted out etahn too.
4 Zs + a Fully kitted out Corran is like a Whisper + miniswarm, except Whisper is much better at the role in my opinion.
Edited by DreadStarI might make them A's instead of Z's and use the points to give him some R2-D2 or EU love. Add proton rockets to fill.
Thanks for the all suggestions guys, they all sound good!
So tomorrow night in my practice against my brother I'll go with Etahn, I guess I just keep him behind the Z's until the formation breaks and then he buffs where he can?
I second Etahn with the Z swarm, though I'd use advanced sensors and push the limit with the R2 astromech. And 5 bandits.
Edit: Etahn doesn't need to be with the Bandits really, only pointing at the same thing they are. He can break off and be really slippery with his many actions.
Edited by RividiusEtahn without upgrades needs the swarm to get in people's way so he can live. If he has ptl and anything else he can come in from the side instead.
Swap all your Z-95's for Academy Pilots and then replace the E-wing with a phat firespray.
Seriosly on Coran I love to put Sensor Jammers. It really protects your investment. Basically any ship that doesn't have a focus token does 1 damage less. Even if they have a focus token, you force them to use it (sometimes, just to break even)
Coran is also one of the few pilots where I like Outmaneuver over Predator.
If I have the points I also like Engine Upgrade on him. But if I have to choose, I prefer barrel roll over boost.
I would go
Airen Cracken
Etahn A'Baht
-R2-D2
-Elusiveness
-Sensor Jammer
Tala SquadronX3
Airen gives actions to Etahn for defense, etahn pumps everyone's shots, and the tala's go to town.

That's why you don't play withouth upgrades.
PtL + Advanced sensors + R2 is tanky enough.
