Anyone still doing that?
So I want to write an article on tri-symbol...
Tri-symbol?
Bah...as I'd said, it's a fad, and tri-symbol should be revered for the amount of ingenuity and strategy that goes into it, not just, "DUDE MY AKUMA CAN RUN BITTER RIVALS, BLOOD RUNS TRUE, AND A NEW LOW IN THE SAME DECK!"
As of right now, there's little reason to run tri-symbol, and more people are simply running "off-symbol" more than they are multi-symbol (although Buddhist Devotion and the now-legal Cursed Blood will help D/G/O get some multi-symbol biznass).
If you are to write an article on tri-symbol, start with the decline in try-symbol decks, analyze why, which in turn acts as a segue into what tri symbol is and how to use it effectively.
Never thought tri-symbol worked in any character that wasn't promo dhalsim.
I currently have a quad symbol deck. It doesn't work spectacularily well, but it's fun to use, and can do many things that involve killing my opponent. I just need to find a way to make a mill/burn/attack deck now...

Promo Yun-Seong = best tri-symbol character ever
Also, any character who can stall-out and take multiple turns can do it. Of course, games shouldn't really be dependent on that...
I've been running tri-symbol variants since the first UR Vega back in set twelve.
Why yes, I will repeatedly toss out Shoulder Rush with Material Advantage, thank you.
I have a Tri-symbol Kyoshiro that went top-8 at one of our regionals, in a field of 30-odd players and without diversity.
There tough to build, granted, and this build was a lickle bit of a fluke, but the range of options it gives you is crazy. The deck has anti-meta up the yin yang (a situation I hope will not be so necessary after the latest set release!) yet plays well as alot of the cards share two symbols, making chaining a breeze. Plus, if your stuck even after a mulligan, Kyoshiro to draw and the options are there!
I am still running tri symbol still loving it .
Oddly enough, ever since i've built my first Tri Symbol Deck (3.Terry), it seems that i cannot build/run Mono Symbol decks anymore. Heck, even the last deck i built Starter Zi Mei was intended to be Dual Symbol only: Air/Chaos, and yet what did i do on two occassions? Play out a Turn that chained four or five Fire cards.
WTF?
Tri Symbol is incredibly fun and challenging to build. Yet, the reward of a well designed Tri Deck is variety and flexibility unseen in any other type of deck. Done right, a Dual or Tri Symbol deck almost never has a Turn where they are limited to playing only one or two cards due to symbol restrictions.

I still play tri-symbol, although it usually starts as dual-symbol and then I realize, "oh hey, half these cards have Chaos, I could toss in Billiard Player"
My zhao daiyu deck right now its kinda tri-symbol it runs off of chaos and evil but i can most of the time take a death turn if i feel like it though i probably will add in some death cards just to make it better there are some hot death cards out there right now.....like cursed blood
Oh, I don't know...Promo Rock Howard would be a good canidate for Tri-Symbol. And with Cursed Blood he becomes even stupider.

Incidentally enough i am building a tri-symbol rock as we speak. Started out as a fun PoTm deck...then started leaning towards order....then went almost mono all....now its looking trisymbol.
Also i think tri symbol has some different definitions.
Running a dual symbol deck with Rejection splashed doesn't count as tri symbol, lol.
Bah, tri-symbol *Gen* all the way you hosers. Earth/Good/Order is perhaps THE best symbol spread around, especially when you're a 7/24 who tutors foundations =D

I'm going to say that any character with Air and All can generally afford to tri-symbol.
Any character with Air/Water for sure. There's plenty of combinations, but as of right now, most symbols have what they need to compete.
